I work for The Photoart House. We do lots of neat things; custom photofinishing, selling cameras, and supplying the area photographers with film, paper, chemistry, and equipment.

It's very enjoyable work. Custom photofinishing, copy work, etc, is all very pleasant. Also good is helping people to learn more about how to use their cameras, how to do their own darkroom work, etc. Finding a camera that matches a person's taste also requires some thought. Not everyone wants a point and shoot camera; but making a selection from the in-between land isn't easy. Full manual? Metered manual? Metered manual with AP? Metered manual with SP? Full auto? Full auto, with full manual and everything in between? Flash? Lens? Lots to think about.

Some people want something little that is just push-the-button. How seriously do you want that? Do you want to be able to focus the camera manually? Zoom? Is being able to manually set the exposure important? How about a tripod socket? Remote control? Cable release? Multiple-shot self timer? How small? How big?

Anyway, I'm still just a working slob. Someday maybe I'll be an independently wealthy photographer, and I'll get to sell prints for $75 for an 8x10.

But not yet.... maybe soon...
