My Burkett Ancestors

The earliest known of my Burkett Ancestors came from South Carolina and settled in Starlington, Alabama. The Unknown father and mother Burkett had at least 5 boys. One of their boys was named Thomas Burkett (born 1802). Thomas married Rachael Herrington (1809-abt.1865). One of their sons Henry Burkett (1829-1864) married Mary Polly Franklin (1835-1909). Henry was killed in the War Between The States at the Battle of Franklin, Tennessee. He served with the 33rd Alabama Infantry Regiment. One of Henry and Mary's daughters was Sarah Elvina (Sally) Burkett (1857-1945).
