My Williams Ancestors have been traced back to Benjamin Williams who was born in 1787 in North Carolina. Benjamin was married to a daughter of Richard Lee (1753-1822). It is not clear at this time exactly which daughter of Richard Lee he was married to. Some good possibilites are Elsey, Elizabeth or Nelly Lee. Benjamin Williams and his wife ???? (Lee) Williams had a son named Richard who was born in 1807 and died in 1881. Richard lived in Perry County, Alabama and married Jane Harriss (1816-1896). Richard and Jane Williams are buried in the Harris Family Cemetary in present day Chilton County, Alabama. Richard and Jane had a son named Jack Murry Williams born in 1843 and died in 1923. Jack Married Martha Elizabeth Linam (1848-1913) and they lived in Wilcox County Alabama. Jack served with the 20th Alabama Infantry Regiment during the War Between the States. Jack was also the first postmaster of Awin, Alabama and was responsible for naming the town Awin, Alabama. Jack and Martha Williams are buried in the Awin Church of Christ Cemetary. Jack And Martha had a son named John Richard Williams who was born in 1881 and died in 1964. John married Maggie Ethel Giddens (1888-1966) and they lived in Awin, Alabama for a while and then moved to Greenville, Alabama. John and Maggie Williams are buried in Greenville, Alabama. John and Maggie had a son named Richard Marion Williams who was born in 1908 and died in 1953. Richard married Ruby Gladys Griffin (1919-1996) and they had a son named Phillip Norman Williams who was born in 1935 in Greenville, Alabama. Richard (1908-1953) died in 1953 and is buried in Greenville, Alabama. Phillip Norman Williams (born 1935) married Cora Oleene Black born in 1939. Phillip and Oleene Williams had 3 sons named Richard (born 1964) Timothy (born 1965) and Steven (born 1967). Phillip and Oleene Williams raised their boys in a small community below Montgomery, Alabama named Pintlala. Later Phillip and Oleene moved down the road to Davenport Alabama. Timothy (born 1965) married Kimberly Ileen McAdam (born 1970) and they had a son named Kevin Conrad Williams in 1998. Steven (born 1967) married and had two daughters named Caitlyn Emiline Williams (born 1992) and Stephie Mariah Williams (born 1994). Steven divorced and was remarried to Brandie Leigh Mckinney (born 1974).
