Welcome All to the exotic South Pacific and the beautiful "Land of the Long White Cloud, New Zealand!
My name is Craig and I live in Wellington, New Zealand. Presently I am separated but am the father of four great kids (actually they are all almost adults now). I have a two daughters, 28 and 18; and, two sons who are 26 and 19 years of age. My occupation is that of an automotive technician.
New Zealand has everything from sandy beaches, snowcapped mountains, lush rainforests, waterfalls, lakes, bubbling mud pools, striking geysers and icy glaciers. The activities are numerous including glow worm caves, black water rafting, jet boating, skiing, tramping, bungy jumping and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
Personally, I love the outdoors and enjoy fishing. Sports is my thing and I play socially tennis, golf and cricket. When I am not outdoors, you will usually find me sitting at my computer and visiting with my friends around the world and playing Spades on the Zone.
I joined The Tigers because the group's philsophy mirrors my own in the playing of games and treating people you meet. I enjoy the friendship and sportsmanship from the Tiger members. I firmly believe "Treat others as you would like them to treat you!"
Before closing, I would like to share a little with you about my "New Zealand", as we have become a major tourist destination and I hope you will someday have the pleasure of visiting this intriguing part of the world.
Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand / Aotearoa. It is also the cultural, administrative and political center of the country. Two aspects of the city that will immediately strike any visitor are the sprawling harbour and the dramatic, hilly terrain. Everywhere you go, the sounds and smell of the ocean hang in the air, and green hills and valleys wrap you in a bear-hug embrace.
At night, Wellington offers up a spectacular, shimmering cityscape that is unlike almost anywhere else in the world. Even after seeing it for the hundredth time, it takes one's breath away. It is a vibrant, scenic, windy, cosmopolitan, diverse, eccentric, maddening and hilarious place.
We have some of the best museums, art galleries, restaurants, microbreweries, and coffee houses in the country. It is the storehouse for the nation's historic, cultural and artistic treasures. Being the first place European settlers arrived, it also boasts lots of historic streets and buildings.
Because of the increased interest in New Zealand as a cultural attraction, travel and tourism education now plays an increasingly important role in the Maori community. The richness of the Maori language and culture has set New Zealand apart in the South Pacific as a major tourism destination and this reputation is enriched by the gentleness, warmth and hospitality of all New Zealanders. So, ComeOn Down and See Us!
