1# ground beef
1/2 # bacon pieces
1/2 chopped onion
(I usually do the bacon separately….otherwise it’s too greasy.)Sauce:
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. Salt
2 tsp vinegar
1 tsp. Mustard
1/2 cup catsupMix all together along with 1 large jar of the cooked Northern beans.
Bake 1 hour at 350*. Cover while baking.
Swiss Vegetable Medley by Judy L in Wisconsin
1 – 16 oz. Frozen broccoli, carrots, & cauliflower combination, thawed and drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup shredded swiss cheese (divided)
1/3 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. Pepper
1 can Durkee French fried onion ringsCombine vegetables, soup, ˝ cup swiss cheese, sour cream, pepper and ˝ can French fried onion rings. Pour into a 1 qt. Casserole. Bake covered at 350* for 30 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and onions. Bake uncovered 5 minutes longer.
OR
Microwave: Prepare as above. Cook, covered on High, 8 minutes. Turn halfway through. Top with remaining cheese and onions. Cook, uncovered, on High 1 minute or until cheese melts.
