Hello! I'm William Lye Wei Wern. I was born on 8th December 1983 under Sagittarius zodiac sign. I am residing in USJ 26, Subang Jaya, Selangor, which is in Malaysia. In case you wonder where is it, it is not far from Giant and Summit Shopping Centres in USJ. Ring me at+60 19 2276886 if you feel bored and need someone to talk to. Currently, I am studying Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level, or GCE A Level for short in Kolej Damansara Utama, aprroximately 28 kilometres away from home. It is definitely far as I had just shifted here on 28th November 2001. I am taking Chemistry, Biology and Physics for my A Levels and will be sitting for the examination in June 2002.I was formerly studying in Bukit Bintang Boys Secondary School in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. I was in the pure science stream, a stream which is extremely stressful, with so many science subjects, you can go crazy. I took Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Additional Mathematics in this stream. There was so much workload with confusing terms and topics which are difficult to digest! On top of that, we had to take the compulsory subjects which are English Language and Malay Language, Moral Studies, History, Mathematics and Physical Education and Health. Thank goodness my secondary school days are over. I completed my Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, SPM which is equivalent to GCE O Levels in December 2000. I was an ex student of Bukit Bintang Boys' Primary School 2 from year 1989 until 1995. My ambition? Of course everyone would surely want to be a successful person one day.:)
I have dozens of hobbies and I plan to develope a homepage for each of them later. They include collecting stamps, coins, currencies, and First Day Covers. I love planting cactuses and herbs and I have a large collection of them. Listening to music, swimming, archery, computing, cycling, billiards and cooking are other hobbies of mine.
In school, I was the Troop Treasurer 1999/2000 of 5th PJ Troop, a scouts organization, the Club Secretary 2000 for swimming and water polo club and the computer club Treasurer 2000. I was also on the school's Lembaga Ketua Tingkatan or Class Monitor's Board as I was the Assistant Monitor for my class in both Secondary Four and Five. I was also a member of the school's Editorial Board, under the English Department where I was responsible for the English Section in our school's annual magazine. These extra-curricular activities kept me very busy. If you're from BB, I suggest you join these interesting clubs. I have also set up an e group for all my ex schoolmates as well as everone else who is from BB. You can join the group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bukitbintang or alternatively you can send an email or forward anything to everyone at bukitbintang@yahoogroups.comFor those doing A Levels in KDU, I have also created a group. You can join the group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kdu2001 or alternatively you can send an email or forward anything to everyone at kdu2001@yahoogroups.com
I will tell you a brief history of my family. My Dad is currently managing a chemical warehouse in Shah Alam and is in early 50's. My Mum, 46, is working as a Sales Manager in a Heidelberg Malaysia. I have an elder Sister, 25, currently working in Atlanta, Georgia, USA as a Research Engineer, and another younger sister, only 9 years old, studying in Assunta Primary School, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
My Dad loves dogs and has kept many breeds before. Back in 1998, he had 16 dogs! There were German Shepherds, Shih Tzu's, Golden Retrievers, American Cocker Spaniels, English Cocker Spaniels, Miniature Pinschers, and boxers. Currently, I have none as the compound is rather small. However, we may be getting one or two soon. So, if you have any questions about dogs, you can forward the question to me at the e-mail address below.
As for my Mum, she is busy travelling from one end of the state to the other end selling her expensive printers, scanners, macs, and other high-end pre-press printing machines in Heidelberg (M)Bhd, a German company. She keeps herself busy at home reading books. My elder sister graduated in May 2000 for her Degree in Biosystems Engineering, majoring in Food Process and Packaging, a new field researching on food and various ways to reproduce them. This degree was completed in Oklahoma State University, USA. My younger sister is currently studying Grade 2 or Primary 2 in Assunta Girls Primary School. You can view pictures of my family below(my sis pic is not in the family pic coz she still hasn't come back to malaysia after all these years!!)
I have shifted homes many times. When I was born back in 1983, I was staying in Paramount Garden, Petaling Jaya and subsequently shifted to Subang Jaya a few years later. I then shifted to Shah Alam during my kindergarten and primary school days before shifting all the way to Klang during my secondary school years. In my final secondary year, I stayed in an apartment in Bandar Sri Damansara and now, we have moved to USJ 26, Subang Jaya as we are fed up of the toll charges, exorbitant maintenance fees, and last but not least, having to walk a few hundred metres just to reach your doorstep!! You must think I am crazy right?? Well, at least I get to know many places well enough especially roads, shortcuts, etc.!!! Anywayz, I moved in to USJ 26 last September 28(2001) and renovation works are to be completed soon. That's all for this section, so skip on.(yawn)
I have included a copy of my resume below, so if you're a prospective employer, do read on!! My Paternal Grandfather and Grandmother during their younger days
