Microstructure after Mechanical Alloying of Silicon and Germanium
As a function of milling time the starting materials consited of pure Silicon and Germanium are getting mixed. The diffusion is much faster than expected from the diffusion coefficents measured in tracer experiements. A new model was developed to describe this behavior.
