BBRRAAAWWWWKKKKK!!!!

Don't let anyone tell you that I haven't a sense of humor! I decided long ago that I want to grow up to be an embarrassment to my children. I am the "leader" of the "Old Ladys 4-H Club" and the head "cluck" of the "Fowl Women" club! Who else but the Northwoods Diva could fill such lofty positions? It is a tough job but between mucking stalls, gardening, housework (YUCK!), Cub Scouts and the other work required of a Succulant Wild Woman, someone has to do it!

WHAT'S UP?

This little fellow was originally created to give my mailperson something to laugh at. Yes, it is original envelope art! I sent it to my dear friend in Nova Scotia and she liked it so much that she put it on her website. That was to my advantage as then I knew I could sneak in and "steal" it! And so my happy little ostrich now lives on to put smiles on the faces of all who visit.

CHRISTMAS GOOSE?

Merry Christmas! Or is it? Well it is at our farm as Grace, portrayed here on one of my Christmas Critters series cards, is alive and well. Grace, a kind and gentle goose who DOES NOT chase people came to us along with 3 others from our neighbor's farm. She earned her name when I saw her slip for the umpteenth time on the ice! "Way to go Grace" left my lips more than once, hence her earning her name. Grace is also a very good mother, sitting on her nest faithfully until the eggs are hatched. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful bird as Grace to 'grace' our lives.

CHICKEN LOVE-ACRYLIC

One day, like many, I was out playing with my chickens and had an inspiration to paint one. This is the result of that. It is an 11x14 acrylic and has won two blue ribbons. It is for sale, including frame.
