DECEMBER 2000 TOURNEY WINNERS

December was a busy month for The Tiger Family. Sixty seven Tigers captured a total of 215 banners in the Tourney Rooms. There were 159 Spades banners with 86 wins and 73 places. Tiger_Stareyes0 won 2 Hearts banners and a total of 55 trivia banners were brought home. Spades honors this month went to Tiger_Jackie who won 18 banners. Tiger_snuggles achieved bragging rights as Trivia Champ for the month.

Tiger_Lee3 and Tiger_Spud won the Legend Spaders’ November TOC on December 8th. Tiger_Ladybug66, playing with FF_2cute4u, captured the win in the Spades Strippers’ November TOC on the 7th. Tiger_Halfteck with Just_Addicted came in second in the Fox December TOC Division “D” on the 8th. Rounding out the TOC tourneys was Tiger_ivan parding with RC_Lil where they earned second place honors in the 4ever Club’s TOC on December 19th. The fun TOC of the month was Storm’s Trivia TOC – Tiger_SgtAngel walked away with her first trivia win and the high honor on December 7th.

We were again honored this month by having Tiger_Nursey_DD selected as the Gaming Zone “Host of the Month”. This makes two months in a row that one of our Tiger hosts was so recognized. Speaking of hosts, Tiger_Flea joined the ranks in December as a zone host. Tiger_Blonde and Tiger_Monk have become trivia hosts and can be found spinning their questions during Tiger Trivia prior to the start of specified tourneys. Another special honor went to Tiger_Ladybug66. She was the recipient of a special award by the Metaphysical Tourneys host for “Outstanding Sportsmanship.” As the month progressed, Christmas nics started appearing everywhere as Tigers donned their “gay apparrel” for the holidays. Hugs and smooches flew throughout the Zone as goodfellowship and merriment flooded from the Family. As is usual in all families, many members who have been absent for awhile – came home for the holidays! The days passed and the cards were played as Tigers popped in and out doing final preparations for Christmas.

We close the year 2000 with an active membership of 431 Tigers. Quite a family we have here. This has been a year of growing pains and with growth comes the occasional problems. However, through every situation this Tiger Family becomes closer and stronger and we wear our stripes proudly as we roam the jungle we call The Zone.

The New Year was welcomed in grandly on December 31st as the first Tiger Gala was held in the Singapore Room. It was a impromptu affair hosted by Tiger_LSUfan, tiger_giggles and Tiger_Jackie and over 35 Tigers showed up to wish each other the wishes of the season. Old members greeted new members and much fun was had by all. For let it always be known “A family that plays together – stays together!”
