Elevate Yourself to Freedom

The whole purpose of these papers is to help the student free him or herself from all the mentally binding concepts of the mortal kind that bug us and hold us back from our own chains of set ideas. As long as we cling to pet ideas and allow ourselves to get caught up in the changing whims of the mass mind we will never be free individuals with an outlook and quest of our own. Did not the Master Jeshu say "Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free"? This remark is more easily heard than understood, so I will try to give the relative teachings that, if followed, will help the reader to free themselves from their own images of life and reality.

Most people go through life creating and recreating images for themselves. Firstly, we carry about an image of ourselves wherever we go, and we act and think according to the image that we have of ourselves - we can see ourselves as successful individuals or a person bound with trials and many other worries - in fact we victimise ourselves, and we can then only experience life according to the image we have of ourselves - are we beautiful or ugly? Do we feel happy and relaxed in our relationships with others? Whilst, at the moment, we might answer these questions in the positive, our next question is "do you really want to be free from your own stifling ideas about life"?

The great teachers to whom we relate the many religions did not, of themselves, really start a religion, but gave guidelines and "ways and means" of improving our lot to enable us to live a normal happy and healthy life whether we were "religious" or not. Religion is what humans have made it, and it depends upon whether or not the systems taught are based upon natural and truthful tenets or just "pie in the sky ideas" put together by others who seek to have a hold over what you have to think, and what you must not do.

The same applies not just to religions as such, but to all the different Orders, groups and societies that are purposely engaged in the process of "enlightening" others.

"The majority of mankind have some sort of belief in God, or a God, but whether their beliefs are founded on the truth of this God, in whom they believe, few can prove. There are many shades of belief and many people fashion this God in their own minds according to how they wish it to be. If we think about this God according to how we wish Him to be He is then only an image of something we do not understand. - and when He fails to live up to what we think He is, or should be, when certain conditions arise, or when certain powers we attribute to Him do not work out - our faith in an All-powerful God is then shattered....Universal Truths just ARE. They cannot be altered by belief or opinion and if we allow ourselves to remain blind to that which IS instead of that which we believe it is, or how we would like it to be, is foolishness. We are like the ostrich that buries its head in the sand and believes it is safe from danger." (Joyful Living)

Finding our freedom from ourselves - our own images of what we believe ourselves to be need to be changed if we desire to be naturally happy beings. We are the only person who can "change our spots", and we are the only person who can bring about a complete change for ourselves - for what we are experiencing now, in this very moment, are the very results that we have fashioned by our past living - this is the natural law of cause and effect - therefore by the very same law we can completely change our experiences from what they are now, and we can look forward to a new and joyful future. This information is what the Master Jesus came to tell us, but unfortunately by his teaching being much misunderstood, and because the hearers were not attuned to his message, it was used by the political powers to exercise power over ignorant minds, and they never grew out of their mental bondage. Remember, the natural commemoration of the rebirth of the Sun God is all about "glad tidings of great joy", not about suffering on a cross. In the Acts of John we find references as to the true meaning of this Cross -

"Having thus spoken, he showed me a Cross of Light set up, and about the cross a great multitude, and in the cross therein was one form and likeness and another multitude being not one likeness. Above the cross I saw the Lord Himself with no shape, but only a voice which said unto me: "This Cross of Light is sometimes called The Word by me for your sakes, sometimes Mind, sometimes Jesus, sometimes Christ, sometimes Door, sometimes a Way". The organised Christians have misrepresented the true meaning of this Cross - hence it is a cross of suffering to them instead of it being a cross of initiation into Light.

The Ancient Egyptians used an androgynous type cross symbolising Life. The Celtic Religion used the cross symbolising eternity, using the combined symbols of the cross and the circle, which was another representation of the Egyptian style. It is strange that the God of Life and Love should be shown hanging on a cross of suffering which symbolises just that. Jeshu never indicated in his teaching that he was associated with suffering, but he came to give us life: "I came to give you eternal life", but not of suffering. We should learn to turn our sights upwards towards greater achievements - especially for ourselves - do not let the negative attitudes of society hold you back.

The truth of the matter of the Teachings of Jeshu is that that which we understand to be the "hidden gnosis" is already contained within the extant teachings, and there is no reason to start up a separate religion called "Gnosticism" as a spiritual protest. The mysteries of the ancients, in which we seem to take pleasure, are nothing more than a deeper aspect of the teachings already available - just as a nut is opened and one discovers the kernel, or an onion that is peeled until we reach the centre.

As I have mentioned, that which has become a separate organisation now called Gnosticism was brought about by a reaction to the repressive system in operation in Europe under the organised Christian Church. What was required was a clean breakaway allowing a free approach to the interpretation of the scriptures without maintaining the forms and tradition of the establishment. Since the message of Jeshu is simple it plays havoc with an intellectual outlook where one seeks, or wants, an immediate demonstration of what it is about.

The answers lie in the teachings themselves for the Arcane Discipline is to be found in the application of the teaching and not in the mere reading and indulging in theological discussion. "Be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only."

The trouble today lies in the fact that many have broken away from the establishment because they were not taught the truth about the teachings that were easily available, and this led certain people to journey into fantasy worlds wherein groups acting under the name of "occultism", "Gnosticism", "esoterism" etc found ways and means to justify their curiosity. All this would have been unnecessary if the Priests were allowed to teach the Way, the Truth and the Life instead of knotting the congregations up with invented dogmas. The Creator of the Universe makes no such limitations on His people, so why should ignorant mortals?

In this open approach one is free to see where the teachings of other great religious teachers are in agreement with the teachings of the Master Jeshu – for after all, there can be only one truth about the Wholeness of Creation and for its people, whatever we might create for ourselves. Mankind usually creates chaos, pain and suffering for it-self because it remains un-enlightened about life itself.

As long as the media keeps the minds of the people preoccupied with football, celebrity cults, raucous pop music, free sex and money grasping, so will man cause himself pain and suffering. The enlightened ones have learned the hard way that we are dealing with powerful energies and forces instead of superficial fancies, and there is a cosmic quality and rules to live by. It is for the reasons just mentioned that the Master Jeshu, and the many other great teachers, gave up their valuable time to help mankind understand itself and how to free itself from its own ignorance.

Instead of listening, the people just got rid of the teachers because their teachings impinged upon the "grubby" lifestyles of those who benefit, by increasing their "grubbiness", by exploiting the ignorance of the people. None of the alternative teachings are going to help because unless one is prepared to change their outlook, their philosophy for living, by learning to understand the natural world in which we live and to respect human life, they are no better than being in the group they left.

Jeshu summed the whole philosophy up into what we call a "nutshell" when he said "Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy mind, with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and thy neighbour as thyself" - if we can do this, what have we got left to do? If these things are not the principles to live by, whether we belong to a Church or some kind of group or order, we live in our own little narrow world believing that we have something special that others do not have. I one heard a teacher remark that a good honest "tea-lady" was worth more than a thousand teachers who were just trying to impress.

Let us sum up what we have implied in this paper. That there is only ONE TRUTH no matter where it was taught, or by whom it has been taught. The teachings of the great world teachers are valid to those who understand them. The teachings of Jeshu contain, in their entirety, the hidden gnosis which in this present day has been separated by those who were in ignorance of this truth, and were suppressed in their freedom by the established church who failed to reveal that the scriptures contain elements that remain hidden. The organised church has failed those who have not been taught correctly, or has mislead them, for the purpose of holding power over their minds. Right from the time when time was no time human beings have learned by experience the correct ways of living wherein fulfilment of life's purpose can be experienced. The only barrier to this kind of freedom lies in the desires of human beings themselves. Ignorance of the natural laws is no excuse for being affected by the results of ignorance. Mankind of its own volition can change the case of human circumstances if it would but make the right efforts to do so.

Politics, religion or law are but poor philosophies assembled together to answer human problems, and the quality can only equal the characters of those who put them together. It is much safer to look back at the teachings of the Great World Teachers, and build up our societies upon the tenets of those put forth by those teachers. The enlightened amongst us can see that man-invented material is unreliable as time has shown, but these so-called teachers and leaders still keep churning over their pet ideologies rather than learn from those who have shown us better ways. We only need to implement the teachings of the Master Jeshu in the western hemisphere, and learn to know that, until we can understand anything better, we are on the right track. Why I mention, in particular, the Master Jeshu is that we have proven that he has maintained all that is the essence of the past into his own school. That is why we hear people saying that the Lord Buddha, Krishna, Mohammed hold all the essential teachings within them, as they too have proved their teachings.

"This power, mentioned by all the Adepts and Mystics, is the Love or Purpose of Humanity in its determination to fulfil its destiny. You may well ask: if God and Man are one and the same Being, why is it that man has no conscious awareness of his Godship? The essence which enables man to become God and God to become man is the instinctive recognition by man that he possesses a spiritual nature, and which shows itself in the effort he makes to realise this nature, which is revealed in the mystic yearning of man to become one with that Love - the Life-Force of God within man himself" - (Richard, Duc de Palatine)

We speak to you from the Sanctuary of your own true self - the pulsating centre of your heart's desire. Let your physical vehicle be the sacred cup revealed to your brothers. Let it shine, and they too will realise that such translucency is no wishful thinking but a truth regained. As you read this you are touching the very centre of yourself at this level. You are already aware of all that we have written because we are truly yourself and you are Ourself, and we are the whole of mankind and the Universe of God. We are all that which was, is and is to come, and now and forever we express the Fullness of the Godhead bodily.
