My Kawasaki Bayou 220

I bought the Bayou in March of 2000 from someone my dad knew. I don't really get to pound it much, because there isn't anywhere to ride it. I just use it to go to and from work, which is only about a quarter mile away. I have only gotten to take it out on the trails twice so far. Hopefully I will get to again before I sell it next year. I have only gotten into one minor accident with it. I was riding to work and I was preceding to drive through the ditch at an angle. I had forgotten that it had rained pretty good that day. Suddenly water sprayed up in front of me, and not knowing what was going on, I couldn't correct it and flipped it. Luckily the 4-wheeler just fell on its side, and didn't roll completely over. I came out of it with only a hurt hand and sopping wet clothes. If I hadn't been wearing a helmet, it could've been worse. So kiddies, always wear a helmet when riding ATVs and motorcycles.

Big Performance in a Compact Package

The smallest of the Bayou ATVs also happens to be one of the biggest sellers. What makes it such a success? The Bayou 220 works in a big way and gives you a smooth, reliable and proven design in a lightweight chassis. It's a more compact package and a big value for you. Its lightweight helps make the Bayou 220 more maneuverable than some of the bigger competition, and just plain fun to ride. What makes the 220 one of the all-time industry best sellers is its five-speed transmission with reverse, a gear-driven engine balancer and fuel sipping 24mm carb that defines economical, yet the Bayou maintains plenty of power on tap. The Kawasaki exclusive independent swing axle front suspension on the Bayou 220 means the operator can turn quickly and precisely while maintaining a smooth ride. And with its peppy and reliable 215cc air-cooled four-stroke engine you can find that secluded fishing hole, go trail riding or use it around the farm. An all-new larger front rack allows you to carry more supplies. The Bayou 220 doesn't compromise on fun, neither should you.
