Life, Liberty, Property
compiled by France Aprahamian

The original phrase was not life, liberty and pursuit of happiness,
but life, liberty and property. Now I wondered what occurred to
effect the change? That is what I want YOU to consider as I review
several sources.
First Reference:
The Bill of Rights, Amendment V No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise
infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand
jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces,
or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war
or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the
same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb;
nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness
against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property,
without due process of law; nor shall private property be
taken for public use, without just compensation.

Second Reference:
From R. O. Voight retired lt. Colonel of the USAF.
Our Founding Fathers understood the value of owning property
and thus created the concept and placed it in our Founding documents.
They understood that that precept would form the basic wealth of the
country into the future. It is also basic to the individual feeling of certainty of his rights and freedom - the right to own your own small
piece of the planet.
Third Reference:
From Frenchman Frederic Bastiat's 1840 treatise The Law
In order that we may accomplish this, He [God] has provided us
with a collection of marvelous faculties. And He has put us in the midst
of a variety of natural resources. By the application of our faculties to
these natural resources we convert them into products, and use them. This
process is necessary in order that life may run its appointed
course."

"Life, faculties, production – in other words, individuality
liberty, property – this is man."

It is possible that the non-Bible reader fails to recognize Bastiat’s
blatant biblical undertones about the purpose of life, but nonetheless,
this is what we have. The French philosopher is restating the scriptural
message that God put man on Earth, endowed him with superior faculties
(such as reason, individual will and a superior intellect), set him above
the beasts (by way of endowment and commandment) and granted man dominion
over the whole earth (the origin of private property).

And what was man’s charge? Among others: to earn his bread by the
sweat of his brow.

Man must work. Man must provide for himself and his family. He does
this by applying his ingenuity, his labor, his passion and his ambition to
natural resources. By so doing, each man puts his unique stamp upon a
natural resource – and providing the resource was acquired honestly, it
becomes his property; indeed, it becomes part of the definition of who he
is.

Fourth Reference:
From an article called Life, Liberty, Property by Gary Demar;
WhatŐs true of the individual is also true of civil government. When the
State rejects God as its sovereign, no oneŐs property is safe.
Because God is
absolutely sovereign, no earthly institution can claim independent and
absolute ownership of property. Only God can claim such a right. Man's claim
to absolute sovereignty is foolish in light of the fact that "God is the
Creator, and therefore the Proprietor, Owner, and Lord of all things; apart
from him there is neither existence nor ownership; he alone has absolute authority;
his will is decisive everywhere and always. Again and again Scripture makes
mention of God's sovereign will."1 This
does not mean, however, that individuals, families, and corporations cannot own
property. Rather, it means that the ownership of property is regarded as a
stewardship to be governed by the Word of God. The accumulation of property
through theft (Ex. 20:15), confiscation of property by governmental decree (1 Kings 21),
and the willfuldestruction of property by the envious (Gen. 26:12-17) are
lawless acts, destructive to an orderly society. The possession of property
is a way for the godly to fulfill their dominion assignment under God. God
gives His creatures possession of the Earth to extend the boundaries of the
kingdom as they fulfill their calling in obedience to His Word; therefore,
the confiscation of property is an attack upon the kingdom and its advance.

A sidenote on this issue;
From the office of the former Governoer of California,
Diane Beall Templin who in 1998 was running for Attorney General.
United Nations take-over of control of up to 50% of American
lands without the treaty's ratification by Congress and with
the active support of the present administration.
OUR RIGHTS ARE OUR MIGHT, OUR VOTES ARE OUR VOICE, OUR ELECTED
OFFICIALS ARE ACCOUNTABLE. The means that have been used in
pursuit of the UN/IUCN Wildlands Project have been unconstitutional.
The secrecy is understandable: Each time local citizens have been
informed of the true and full extent of the Biosphere reserve ,
World Heritage and related schemes, they have been able to
effectively block their implementation. The role of informed
citizens in stopping this march to global governance and loss
of American sovereignty has repeatedly vindicated Thomas
Jefferson's belief that there is 'no safe depository of the
ultimate power of the society but by the people themselves'.
Principled Americans MUST unite, get the facts straight and
expose this unconstitutional take-over as lethel threats to
our freedom, independence and constitutional order.
As Attorney General, I will work for the liberty and benefit of
the people-not for the enthronement of government. bureaucracy

Very interesting, so what's all the buzz on life, liberty and the
pursuit of happiness? Sounds like a cotton candy coated way to
help us forget what most of us rarely think of any way. Hummm.

Life is a Test
Editors Corner
I always walking around saying, "Life is a Test". But what is
life really all about? And for heavensakes, what does it have to
do with testing, you may wonder? We all I know that a test is a
way to reveal if a particular principle has be learned. And
going on that assumption, then Life is a classroom. The fact is
we are always learning, even when we are unaware of it. Daily
we are bombarded with information, especially me since
am a an information junkie, but the average Joe receives millions
of pieces of knowledge every hour. But, what does all this have
to do with testing? Even if you do not believe in a creator,
you do believe that somehow you were formed, right? Now the one
who formed you will want an account of how you spent your time,
resources, and talents, it's just logical. Now if you believe in
evolution you may not be concerned with testing but evolution is
not based on a system that can be seen and experienced. The whole
idea that we evolved from a lower life form is not testable by
definition. And if you believe in evolution you probably wont be
reading this newsletter, so I will not go further in to it.
Once you pass on to the next world your test will be over and your
reward for your performance will be given to you and I base that
information on the bible.

Where's the Love?
Editor's Column
Love is patient, love is kind, love never fails according to 1 Corinthians 13. Interestingly enough, we find that the body of Christ, which is the church, is not loving at all. The truth be told, there is a lot of backbiting, lying, adultery, and all amounts of unlovingness in the body. We can try to cover it by singing on Sunday in the choir, and going down front to cry but God knows our hearts. Our hearts are desperately wicked, according to psalms and if you believe the bible than that is part of it. You cannot pick and choose what parts to believe, because GOD will NOT be mocked. Love covers a multitude of sins, is also biblical, but these days covering means: God bless me but oh, look his sin is worse. Do not be offended, dear Christian, be rebuked. Lord, help me I am no shining example of Christian perfection, no one is. But, YOU must realize the current church model is sheer "folly". My point, one pastor cannot presume to lead a congregation of thousands, and be humble, not even hundreds. God will and does get lost in the shuffle. The biblical church model, involved small groups of people getting together to worship, share and pray together, each one using his God given gifts to input in the service. It sounds so simple. So what is wrong with simple? God's love for us is simple. Salvation is simple. We are simply made in a magnificent way. Simplicity is how life should be lived. That is something the Amish seem to understand. Love may be a mere verb, but it is not being honestly represented in the present church, and that is a very sad state of affairs.
I am looking to have email interviews with those who are willing to talk regarding lack of Love in the "church." Email Me

"I have unwittingly ruined my country!" Former president Woodrow Wilson stated this in 1913 after signing the Federal Reserve Act, giving the power of America's national credit and currency over to private for-profit international investment banks and partnerships. ************************************************************
