PAY IT FORWARD!
Each one of us has unique and special talents and abilities. I think we all are here on this earth to help each other out. If you have something and someone else doesn’t, offer it to them. In any form you can think of. Fix their car, teach them to read, offer them a meal.
Have you seen the movie “Pay It Forward” or read the book? I have. I was so inspired by it that I want to change the world. Maybe you want to as well, but are scared. I’m scared to. We all are. But if we all just try…Step outside of the box. Take a chance!
Here is my challenge to you. Make a list of all the favors you can do for people. Think of your abilities, skills, and talents. What can YOU do for someone else to make THEIR life a little easier, without wanting anything in return. Except maybe tell them to pass on the favor to someone else.
Here’s my list.
FAVORS I CAN DO FOR PEOPLE THEY CANNOT DO THEMSELVES
1. Teach someone to read
2. Teach someone to write poetry
3. Boost someone’s self esteem
4. Teach someone to draw
5. Take care of someone’s kid free of charge
6. Feed the homeless
7. Be nice to anyone who is mean to me
8. Cheer people up when they are down
9. Listen to someone
10. Be a shoulder to cry on
These are just some. I have a whole lot more floating in my head. I bet you do too! I know you do!
Make your list your very own. Carry it with you, memorize it, add to it constantly, but don’t just let it collect dust! Put some of those ideas for helping people into action!
Then, forward this as an e-mail or pass it on verbaly or by snail mail to everyone you know. People may think it’s impossible or stupid. It is those people who are afraid to try. But if YOU don’t try or take a chance, then you’ll never know how much better it will be.
