desecrated souls - jeffrey dahmer

June 18, 1978, Dahmer committed his first murder. Jeffrey picked up Steven Hicks while hitchhiking along Cleveland Mass Road. Jeffrey asked him if he wanted to go back to his house and hang out for a while because his dad wasn�t home and his mother and brother were visiting relatives in Wisconsin. Steven, not knowing that Jeffrey was not sane, agreed. They spent a while drinking and listening to music when Steven made the worst mistake of his life, the one that ended his life. He told Jeffrey that he had to be leaving soon. After Jeffrey was arrested he told authorities that he would kill only the people that tried to leave him. All his life he was kind of the outcast that no one wanted around. Even the people he loved would leave him in the end. As far as he was concerned nobody else was going to abandon him if he could help it. To keep Steven from leaving, Jeffrey smashed a dumbbell into Steven�s head and he instantly fell to the floor and was then strangled to death. Jeffrey then dismembered the body, put it in a large plastic bag, and hid it in a small crawl space underneath the house. After a few days in the heat, the body parts began to decompose and gave off a nauseating smell. Knowing his family would smell the rotting body when they came home, he took the bag filled with flesh and organs to the back property line and buried them there. A few days later he thought that the kids that always played in the woods would accidentally find them so he dug up the bag. By this time there was really nothing but bones left in the bag so he took a sledgehammer and crushed the bones into little pieces and scattered them around in the forest behind his house. He knew with Steven being spread in the forest by his house, he could never leave him, he would always be there for him.
