Thoughts
The sky was lit with colours bright,
I walked along the water’s break,
Shining through the darkness of night,
I thought about the morning wake.
The sun it shone with a golden glow,
The warmth against my skin,
There was something I should know,
A yearning question deep within.
It asked what am I doing here?
Although I know not why,
I tried to answer with no fear,
And this was my reply;
I’m here to live my life alone
,
To walk this path in faith and stride,
And when my time on earth is done,
I will have no need to hide,
Amongst the safety and the harm,
That lives amidst the land,
I’ll embrace love with open arms,
And take Io by the hand.
