Young Love

They now look away, unable to see
The love that had always been there.
For now it lies under a vast black sea.
Which is full of lies and of their despair.
Their young love is gone and has been replaced,
With the hate of a childhood far away.
Taken by all their actions, which caused disgrace.
Young lovers, embraced, together they lay.
No longer feeling the long-waited rush.
Created even when their fingers touch.
Their once-beating hearts have turned cold mush.
For time has changed them both so very much.
Causing them to believe that they should part.
For Father Time trammels a young heart.
