The LiL-o-Loc is made out of A strong PVC plastic which is not susceptible to lower temperatures. The lock will not be brittle from weather changes.
The track for the lock is custom bent metal. Installation requires a drill which after adjusting the lock to the size  needed
     You need to dill 2 holes "one on each side of the lock" 2 holes are on the outer bar You will use these holes as your guide. Don't worry It's easier than it sounds. The drill does not need to be expensive the one I use is a small battery operated one. Drill bit is included with the lock.

     What makes this lock different from the rest is the patented roller and track.  Other locks on the market with a hinge still give you the problem of laying it in a down position to open then lifting it to lock it again; or even worse you forget you left it down.

     Other locks I've seen; you need to unscrew them, lay it on the wall, open the door, then replace the lock and screw it back in tight again. Alot of nonsense.

       With the Lil-oloc, all you have to do is lift the roller about 3 inches and place on the track, open the door and close it; the lock is now in the locked position.
