MGS2 Internet Ranking Concludes

MGS2 Internet Ranking Concludes After months of cutthroat competition between tactical espionage agents worldwide, Konami Computer Entertainment Japan has finally closed its Internet Ranking contest for the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo. The best of the best can hang up their USPs, because it doesn't look like anybody could get any better at this game.

To elucidate, since the release of the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo version with Zone of the Enders, it's been possible to input the clear code the demo gives you upon completion into a special form on the KCEJ homepage. The page then spits back a point score based on your speed, stealth, and economy in completing the demo. The top players were listed on a series of rankings based on their age, skill level, and geographical location.

Now that the competition is over, it looks like the world champion is "Sebastian," a teenage American, with a score of 94,525. Mr. Sebastian completed the demo in 1:51 on very hard mode, using only four bullets, never being seen, and killing no guards. The top 10 winners are as follows, with their scores and nationalities.

1. Sebastian 94,525USA
2. UNCLESCROOGE 94,477 Italy
3. kevinwong.hk 94,383 China
4. FNG 94,336 USA
5. Majinbu 94,336 Italy
6. Bounette 94,289 France
7. Burny_Playfrance.com 94,289 France
8. Fafat 94,289 France
9. JoelPagan 94,242 USA
10. ZENO 94,195 Japan
