“You know what I came here for, So I wont ask for more, I wanna be with you, if only for a night, To be the one who’s in your arms who hold you tight I wanna be with you, there’s nothing more to say, there’s nothing more I want then to feel this way-I wanna be with you” Josie sang loudly. Leighanne laughed.
“Jos, Do you see how the guys are wearing glasses and hats, That’s because we don’t want attention” Leighanne commented. Josie laughed.
“This is a sweet song-I love it” Josie replied, humming with it.
“JOSIE” Someone screamed behind them.
“Shit” AJ mumbled. “Someone probably noticed you”
“JOSIE, JOSIE MARTIN?” The woman’s voice rang out again. Josie swore under her breath. A person came out of the crowd around them.
“Josie?” She questioned. Josie stared at her for a moment.
“Katie?” Josie questioned. Katie wrapped her arms around Josie.
“Girl, why didn’t you turn around? I was yelling your name” Katie asked.
“I didn’t hear you” Josie lied. Katie’s eyes moved to Nick.
“Who’s this?” Katie questioned.
“This is my boyfriend, Nick C…Nick” Josie replied.
“Hey Nick!” Katie exclaimed, smiling at him sweetly.
“Hey” Nick replied. People filed past them as they stood in the middle of the hall.
“What brings you to Detroit?” Katie questioned.
“Well, Nick came here for business with his friends” Josie replied. Katie eyed the guys.
“Are they in some gang or something?” Katie joked, looking at them all in glasses and hats.
“No, but we need to catch a flight to Colorado so…” Josie started.
“I’m going to Colorado to! You’re probably on my flight!” Katie exclaimed. Leighanne smiled at her.
“I doubt it” Leighanne muttered. The guys were giving each other nervous glances, motioning to Nick to start moving.
“Flight 198 to Denver?” Katie questioned.
“No, but to Denver” Josie replied.
“Damn, because my seat was doubled, They sold it twice and now I don’t have a seat on the plane” Katie grumbled. Josie smiled at her.
“Can you hold on one sec?” Josie asked. She pulled Nick over to the side.
“Can she come with us?” Josie questioned.
“No” Nick replied.
“C’mon Nick, She’s my friend from High School, we’re like best friends” Josie exclaimed. Nick looked over at Katie.
“Fine, but only to Denver” Nick replied. Josie let go of Nick’s hand and ran over to Katie.
“You can come on our flight if you want” Josie offered.
“I can’t believe I’m on a plane with the BSB” Katie exclaimed.
“Well, believe it” AJ muttered, sitting next to her, trying to sleep. Katie stood up and walked over by Josie, Nick and Leighanne.
“So Josie, How did YOU manage to meet Nick?” Katie questioned, taking a seat next to Nick.
“Well, I was working for block buster and Nick went in to rent movies and it sort of went from there” Josie explained.
“You don’t work for Hooters anymore?” Katie questioned. Josie smiled sweetly.
“No, I quit” Josie mumbled.
“YOU worked for hooters?” Leighanne questioned. “I thought you had to be like a D cup to work there”
“Funny” Josie laughed. Leighanne got up to get a soda, leaving Nick, Josie and Katie sitting by themselves.
“Well, write your song yet?” Nick asked.
“I had a pretty good idea, then some fan got me with a shake and ruined it” Josie replied. “But I have a new idea”
“Not me? I’m hurt” Nick joked. Josie smiled, leaning over to kiss him.
“Well, Its about you and your fans” Josie replied.
“You’re writing songs?” Katie laughed. “For the guys?”
“No, I’m thinking of singing” Josie replied. Katie shrugged.
“Jon will freak when he hears about that” Katie commented.
“What? Why would my ex-boyfriend even be talking to you?” Josie snapped. Katie looked around.
“We’ve been dating for over 3 months” Katie replied. Josie stared at her friend. Josie was about to yell at her, but decided against it.
“Oh, How is Jon? Still an ass?” Josie snapped.
“Actually he’s great-I love him to death” Katie replied.
“Oh, How sweet” Josie muttered. Nick glanced at her. “I’m sorry Katie, that was rude”
“Hell, If I broke up with Nick and you got him, I would kick your ass; so it’s cool” Katie commented.
“JON” Katie screamed, running towards a guy wearing a orange Hawaiian shirt and some Khaki shorts.
“That’s weird, He never used to wear nice clothes” Josie whispered in Leigh’s ear. Leighanne smiled.
“He’s a cutie” Leighanne replied. Josie put her head up as she walked towards the couple.
“Hey Jon” Josie exclaimed. Nick came up by her side, wrapping his arm around her waist. Jon noticed the gesture.
“Hey Josie, what the hell are you doing in town?” Jon asked.
“I’m here with my boyfriend Nick” Josie exclaimed. Jon looked up at Nick.
“He’s a Backstreet Boy” Katie commented.
“Really? Wow, I thought all you guys were fags” Jon exclaimed. Nick laughed.
“Well we aren’t” Nick replied. He started to pull Josie away when Jon noticed Leighanne.
“Excuse me, Are you THE Leighanne Wallace?” Jon questioned. Leighanne smiled.
“Yea, Why?” Leighanne asked.
“My favorite show was Silk Stalkings, I remember faces so well, Plus, My dad runs the Sundance Film festival, For independent movies, and your new one, The Night of Love was submitted” Jon replied. Leighanne smiled.
“I didn’t think I had any fans” Leighanne replied, blushing. Josie sighed, He was giving her a load of crap to get her into bed, she knew how it went.
“I’m a huge one” Jon replied. Josie sighed.
“Listen, I’m starved, Can we go to the Deli?” Josie asked. They all made their way, including Jon and Katie, To the Deli.
“He told me he liked my pants, isn’t that sweet?” Leighanne asked in Limo on the way to the hotel. Josie rolled her eyes.
“He meant, I like those pants, How fast can I get into them” Josie joked. Leighanne rolled her eyes.
“You’re just jealous because I have a fan” Leighanne replied.
“Girl, get into the real world, Guys like Jon are pigs” Josie replied. Leighanne sighed.
“Whatever” She muttered.
“Can we drop it?” Amanda asked.
“I just don’t want him getting her drunk and fucking her” Josie snapped.
“Do I hear some jealously here? Maybe because, You never got to fuck him?” Leighanne snapped.
“You’re engaged” Josie screamed. The guys were sitting quietly, not saying anything.
“Yea, well, I wouldn’t do anything with him anyway, but you’re still jealous because your old boyfriend, from meeting me a couple seconds was thinking of doing stuff with me he never dreamed of doing with you” Leighanne replied. Josie huffed.
“Someone has a huge stick up their ass” Josie muttered.
“Well, If I was you, It certainly wouldn’t be a dick up my ass , That’s for sure” Leighanne joked. The limo stopped by the hotel and Josie ran in front of the guys and jumped out of the limo.
“She pisses me off” Josie screamed. Nick and Josie were sitting in their own private hotel room at a small hotel outside Denver. It had maybe 50 rooms as most, so the guys had decided to rent out 2 floors for their crew and for the guys of O-Town.
“She just knows how to push your buttons Josie, Don’t let it get to you, Brian does it constantly to me-she must get it from him” Nick commented, falling on the bed.
“So, why did you guys get a hotel with a pool of we’re only here tonight?” Josie asked. “We have a show in California tomorrow”
“No, That shows next Monday, This tour we do shows one week, then we have off a week” Nick replied. Josie nodded.
“Oh” She replied. Josie climbed onto the bed and slid herself next to Nick, putting her head on her chest.
“I thought of life with a Backstreet Boy would have much more Chaos” Josie commented.
“I thought the life with a ex Hooters girl would be a lot more fun” Nick joked. Josie sighed and took her head off his chest, staring into his eyes.
“Josie, Listen, Brian told me how you wrote that song; He told me it was really good” Nick started. “I wish my life upon no one. Not able to go outside, sitting around, Exhausted from a tour, People calling you and the people you love names; That’s why I didn’t want you to be in the business with us-Being famous isn’t all it’s cracked up to be”
“Nick, If you don’t want me to sing, all you have to do is tell me, I don’t care what I do” Josie replied. “Anyway, Leighanne had this great idea that I transfer to a college near you, Then I can get my degree in Education”
“That’s what you want? Because I don’t want you to change your life for me” Nick replied. Josie smirked.
“Nick, I don’t care what I do, As long as I have fun doing it” Josie replied. “I’m going to take a shower, You should too you stink”
“Oh Thanks” Nick replied. Josie got off the bed, then paused.
“You wanna take one with me?” Josie questioned. Nick laughed; then noticing the serious look on Josie’s face, he stopped.
“Seriously?” Nick asked. Josie pulled off her American Eagle T-shirt and flung it at Nick, then walked into the bathroom. Nick smiled, the followed her into the bathroom.
