CHAPTER TWENTY

“It's tha motha fuckin' D oh double G (Snoop dogg) da da da da daaaa You know im mobbin' with the D.R.E” Josie sang with Snoop Dogg. The phone rang so she turned the volume down.

“Hello?” Josie questioned.

“Hey Josie!” Leighanne exclaimed.

“Hey Leigh-What’s up?” Josie asked.

“Well, What are you doing on August 3rd?”

“I don’t think I’m doing anything” Josie explained.

“Are you sure?” She asked.

“Well, I might be doing Nick” Josie joked.

“Because That’s the day Brian and I set our date for the wedding”

“You mean next year?” Josie questioned.

“No, 3 weeks from now” Leighanne replied.

“Is that a little sudden? Will you able to get everything done?” Josie questioned.

“This is Leighanne you’re talking to, I’m getting married to a BSB-I can hire people to help me!” Leighanne explained.

“Good Point” Josie commented.

“Anyway, Could you be my maid of honor?” Josie questioned.

“Me?” Josie asked.

“My sister, My anut, and my best friend can’t do it. I asked Amanda but she has some doctor appointment she has to go to” Leighanne replied. “She’ll be there for the reception though”

“Whose the best man?” Josie asked.

“Harold, Brian’s brother” Leighanne explained.

“I guess I can” Josie replied.

“Great! I need to make some other calls, Can I talk to Nick?” Leighanne questioned.

“He’s not home right now” Josie replied. “He went to a bar with his dad”

“Oh, tell him to call me OK”

“Ok, Bye” Josie replied. The doorbell rang, thinking it was Nick, Josie practically ran to the door. She opened the door to see Jon standing outside.

“What the hell?” Josie questioned.

“I love you too” Jon joked. Josie stared at him.

“Why are you here?” Josie asked.

“I was in the neighborhood and your guard at the gate was drunk as hell, so he let me in” Jon replied.

“We need to talk”

“Why?” Josie asked.

“It’s about Nick and Katie” Jon replied.

“Then I don’t want to hear it” Josie commented.

“What? Why?” Jon asked.

“You broke my heart when you had sex with my best friend Jon; If something is going on, I don’t want to know” Josie replied. Jon was quiet.

“You broke up with me, If I remember right” Jon replied.

“You and my best friend Liz were fucking behind my back!” Josie snapped she sighed. She didn’t want to fight. “I remember when we used to talk about all the kids we were going to have”

“Yeah, what was it 6?” Jon commented. Josie walked from the door and walked towards the kitchen. Jon closed the door and followed her.

“So why are you here exactly?” Josie asked.

“Because Katie’s plan won’t work” Jon replied.

“Katie’s plan?” Josie asked. Jon laughed.

“It would have worked, but then you popped into the picture” Jon explained, Josie made a confused face. “You see, Katie heard about Nick and his ex breaking up. She called me, she needed someone to act as her boyfriend. I would get half of what she got from Nick. I was broke, so I certainly said yes.”

“Yea, but what was the plan?” Josie questioned.

“I was getting to that. Katie would ‘bump’ into Nick, She would make him fall for her and then explain to him about her boyfriend. To make a long story short, she’d tell Nick she broke up with me for him. They’d get married, she’d divorce him, I’d get half” Jon explained.

“Ever hear of a pre-nup? You’d get nothing and Katie wouldn’t get anything unless she stuck with him” Josie questioned.

“That was something she’d try to get around” Jon replied. “Anyway, It would’ve worked. She was going to meet him in Detroit, he’d meet her and then the plan would start to slowly work. The problem was when she came into the airport, there you were. But in her words, You’re just a tiny problem that won’t be very hard to get rid of”

“You guys are trying to break up my relationship? Just because of Money? I thought a fan would do it, but not my ex and one of my best friends” Josie yelled.

“It always seems your best friends are the ones that screw you over” Jon explained.

“Yea, and your always there to help” Josie snapped. She walked over to the door.

“Get out” Josie yelled.

“Josie, Don’t you want to know why I told you?” Jon asked.

“No, but you’re gonna tell me aren’t you?” Josie asked. Jon smirked.

“I hurt you once, I couldn’t do it again” Jon explained. “You see, I was suppose to tell you how Nick and Katie had sex that night at the party and she told him how we had sex. Then, when we actually do it, you guys would be so pissed at each other. It was like, playing you guys against the other.”

“Get Out” Josie yelled again.

“You always had this effect on me Josie. I could tell you anything. Anyone else, I wouldn’t have told that I had cheated on them or that I was going to make millions off her boyfriend. Maybe it’s because I love you still” Jon explained. Josie pushed him out the door and slammed the door in his face. Josie’s backslid down the door until her butt hit the floor. She put her head in her hands and started to cry. She felt a tongue against her leg. Houston sat next to her, while she cried.

“Katie?” Jon asked, walking into the bar. He’d drove 80 mph until he reached the bar. Nick’s dad looked up at him; then looked back to the TV. Jon walked to the back of the bar to see Katie slowly working off Nick’s pants.

“What the fuck?” Jon asked. He was trying to act like the mad boyfriend.

“Jon what are you doing here?” Katie snapped, shooting him mean glances.

“To get a drink” Jon lied. He felt like shit and needed to make it up to Josie. He walked over to them and pulled Katie off Nick.

“Listen Jon, it isn’t what it looks like” Katie explained. “I know about you and Josie having sex”

“Sex? I tried but she loves Nick too much to do it” Jon replied. Nick eyes went to Katie.

“You said-” He started. Nick closed his eyes. “I gotta go”

“Yeah, I think you should too, she’s probably crying her eyes out by now” Jon replied. Katie screamed and ran at Jon, slamming him against the wall.

“I was so close you asshole!” Katie yelled. “You are such a wuss”

“And you’re a stupid bitch. It wouldn’t have worked. Josie has let so many people walk all over her, you and me included, but she keeps her feelings inside and acts like she’s happy. In the end, she comes out on top” Jon exclaimed. He walked away from Katie. Katie sat on the ground. Sje looked up and saw pictures of all the famous people that have come to the bar. Her eyes landed on Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. A smile crept to her face. She would make her millions someway.
