CHAPTER FIVE

Josie put her book down and sighed. They had been on the plane maybe only an hour and she had finished 2 books. She was a quick reader. She glanced around the room, trying to find Nick, after reading the books she needed to talk to him. She spotted him standing by Leighanne and her laptop. Josie stood up and made her way to Nick.

“Hey!” Josie exclaimed. Nick smiled.

“Hey, what’s up?” Nick asked. Josie held up Brian’s ex girlfriends’ book.

“You shit in a sock?” Josie laughed. Nick’s smile turned into a pout.

“Brian made me, plus it seemed like a funny thing to do, I was immature” Nick explained.

“You and Brian are still immature!” Leighanne joked.

“Hey-I wasn’t the one who spiked Britney Spear’s coke at the party we held after the Grammy’s, That was you” Nick reminded her.

“I hate her, plus we were nice enough to invite her to the party and she was totally ripping on you guys, seeing her jump on the bar and dance was pretty funny, you gotta admit that!” Leighanne exclaimed.

“Yea, well, OK-It was” Nick admited.

“You got Spear’s drunk? Any other cool stories?” Josie asked.

“Tons, but I have to go give my friend Brent a call” Nick explained. He walked away from them and grabbed Brian’s cell phone.

“So, what you looking at?” Josie asked.

“I visit this girl bsb girlfriends site every once and awhile, just to see rumors and all, I just called Nick over to see something” Leighanne explained. Josie sat down next to her and noticed her face on the screen. She was sitting next to Leighanne at the concert in her leather outfit.

“Wow-This girl is quick” Josie laughed.

“She can make pretty good stories up to” Leighanne commented. She clicked on the picture. It brought them to a page explaining that Josie was a slut, worse than any other girlfriend Nick had. She said she saw Josie working on the street one night and the girls’ dad had seen her stripping. Every other word was either slut or bitch. Josie clicked off it.

“She doesn’t know me” Josie exclaimed.

“Yea, most people don’t, but they assume that because you are friends with a BSB, you’re a slut” Leighanne commented. “Eventually, you give up convincing everyone that you are aren’t a slut, and you just don’t listen to their lies”

“Well, since I’ve known Nick, for one day, I’ll e-mail this chick and tell her what I think of the site” Josie mumbled. She clicked the Link that said ‘E-mail Me’ and wrote to the girl that ran the site.

“It was so funny Nick, That girl’s jaw is going to drop when she opens the e-mail Josie sent” Leighanne exclaimed.

“Why?” Nick questioned.

“Well, on the site the girl said she was going to New York for the next BSB concert, so Josie told her that if she was there, she’d get her backstage passes since her site was Josie’s first fan site” Leighanne joked.

“Where is Josie? You guys have to explain to her how to get off the plane” Nick exclaimed.

“What about Josie?” Josie questioned walking up behind them.

“Well, you guys get off the back of the plane so the fans don’t attack you” Nick explained.

“But, I want to go with you guys” Josie exclaimed, looking at Nick.

“It’s too dangerous” Leighanne commented.

“500 girls aren’t dangerous” Josie replied.

“You’d be surprised, Leighanne sprained her ankle when the fence snapped from all the fans pushing” Nick explained.

“I’ve never broken a bone, There’s a first for everything” Josie replied.

“Josie-“ Nick started.

“Nick-” Josie imitated him. “Listen, I’ve wanted to be on TV for, like ever, so, I would really love to go with you guys, I mean, MTV is going to have you live!” Nick looked at his bodyguard and motioned for him to take Josie away. He escorted Josie with Leighanne to the back of the plane.

“Thanks Brian” Josie exclaimed. Brian smirked.

“You won’t be thanking me in a few seconds” Brian replied. Josie was almost off the plane when she yelled for Brian, after telling him about wanting to be on TV, he told the bodyguard it was OK for her to go with him. Josie was walking towards the rest of the guys with Brian. Nick looked up.

“I thought I told you to go with Leighanne” Nick exclaimed.

“Listen, If I get hurt, It’s not your fault, It’s my choice” Josie replied.

“It is my fault because those are my fans that will hurt you” Nick replied. Josie looked up at him.

“Josie, you should’ve gone with the girls, Nick’s just looking out for your safety” Kevin explained. Josie sighed. She started to the back of the plane again when Brian grabbed her arm.

“The car most likely already left, Just hold onto my hand, and don’t let go at all, You got that?” Brian asked.

“Don’t hold your hand, got it” Josie joked. Brian eyed her and she felt Brian grabbed her hand. The other guys were already out the plane’s door. The minute she was out the door a rush grabbed her. The screams were louder than she had ever heard. The guys were waving to all their fans. She saw hundreds of signs, most of them for Nick, Brian and AJ. Since everyone else was waving. Josie shot up her arm and waved at the fans too. AJ looked up and laughed at her, she had no idea what was about to come. Brian leaned back and put his lips close to her ear.

“Listen, go as fast as you can, don’t stop and answer questions, just walk” Brian instructed. There were two small metal fences that led a path through the crowd of girls. The screams got louder as they made their way between the fences. The guys waved, reached their arms into the crowd for the girls to grab them, to at least touch their favorite group. Girls eyed her suspiciously, noticing that she was with Brian.

“Hey Brian, Are you and Leighanne apart?” Someone screamed.

“Brian, Is that your new slut?” Another girl yelled.

“No, He got a new dog, I think that’s her” A fan joked. Josie heard creaking up ahead and looked ahead of her. She didn’t see anything wrong so she just smiled sweetly at fans. Brian still had a hold of her hand but they had maybe a foot between them. She heard a loud snap as one of the fences gave way. Brian turned around to grab her, but by then the fans were already running at the guys.

“Where’s Josie?” Nick yelled. The guys were running as fast as they could as they ran towards the entrance of the airport. The Limo was supposed to pick them up in the front.

“When the fence broke I lost her” Brian replied. Nick was about to go back, to try to help her, but when he stopped, he noticed fans screaming and running at full speed towards him. The guys got to the Limo, out of breath and sweaty. They all jumped in.

“Geez you guys are slow” Josie exclaimed. Nick stared at her for a second.

“How? What happened?” Nick asked. Josie showed him her ripped shirt.

“Well, that stupid fence must have snapped, well anyway, There was your bodyguard behind me and he grabbed me, We weren’t exactly the thing the girls wanted so we just walked around and got here” Josie explained.

“Your OK?” Nick asked. Josie smiled.

“They ripped my shirt” Josie pouted. AJ laughed.

“I bet you were scared shitless” AJ exclaimed.

“That was kind of fun” Josie commented. Nick shot her a glance.

“I thought you were going to be trampled” He exclaimed. Josie smiled at him sweetly. She had one of her smart-ass comments to say, but she held back. Why ruin a moment-right?
