Faith laid in Russell's arms, listening to his heart beat as he slept. It had been a month since she had last seen Nick. He'd left New York the next day after they had slept together and she hadn't had a chance to talk to him since, which was probably a good thing. Her phone rang, which took her out of her thoughts.
"Hello?" Faith asked. The other line was silent for a moment.
"Hey Girl!" Leighanne exclaimed. Faith smiled.
"Hey Leighanne...It's been awhile" Faith replied.
"Yea I know...But I wanna invite you to Brian's Birthday party...Do you still live in NY?" She asked.
"Yep" Faith replied.
"Good..Do you know where the Rainbow Room is?" She questioned.
"Ya" Faith replied.
"Well we're having a birthday party for Brian there tonight at 6" Leighanne replied.
"Cool" Faith replied. "Do I only need to bring myself?"
"Well...Actually Yea. If you could, could you try not to bring Russell? The place is gonna be packed as is" She replied.
"Yea..He's tired so it'll be cool" Faith replied.
"See you in a few hours then" She replied.
"Yea" Faith relied. She hung up and moved out of Russell's arms. She had 2 hours to get a present.
Leighanne hung up the phone and looked over at AJ and Brian, slapping their hands.
"She's coming" Leighanne exclaimed. "Are you sure Nick's crappy attitude has something to do with her though?"
"Whenever Nick is in a shitty mood...It's because of her. Let's see...A month ago, he suddenly leaves New York City after hanging out with her, when the day before he told us he didn't want to leave just to hang out with her-Then for the past month he's been PMSing. Everything points to her" AJ explained. Leighanne shrugged.
"Everything sounds good...Except for the part of Nick PMSing...Which is impossible" Leighanne joked.
"With Nick? Anything's possible" Brian joshed.
Faith got home, throwing Macy's bag on the couch. She heard the shower going and walked into the bathroom.
"Hello?" She called. Russell stuck his head out.
"Where'd you run off to?" He asked.
"I had to get a birthday gift for Brian Littrell" She replied. He nodded, turning off the water and stepping out. He smirked as she watched him for a few moments before giving him his towel. He turned around, rubbing the towel on his ass.
"Your not fully clean unless your Zest fulling clean" He sang. Faith laughed.
"So what are your plans for tonight?" She asked.
"I'm going to the premiere for that one movie I'm in" He joked, acting like the movie meant nothing to him.
"SHIT! I totally forgot" Faith replied.
"I'm sure you have a dress to wear, you'll be stunning" He replied, wrapping the towel around his waist.
"No that's not the problem" Faith replied. He walked over and wrapped his arms around her waist, bringing his face close to his.
"What then?" He questioned.
"I'm going to Brian's party tonight. I totally forgot about the premiere" Faith replied.
"That's OK, On the way to the premiere we can drop of your present" He replied, letting his arms drop from her waist. Faith bit her lip.
"I was actually hoping to stay there...and NOT go with you" She replied. He looked over at her.
"Fine" He replied.
"Is it really OK or are you just saying that to keep me happy?" She asked.
"I would rather you come with me...But I guess I can't have you all to myself" He replied.
"Are you going to bring someone?" She asked. He gave her a coy smile.
"I'll pick up a fan on the way to premiere" He joked. She gave him a big hug, then kissed him quickly.
"Your the best" She replied. He smiled.
"I know"
"She's here" Leighanne exclaimed. Brian and AJ looked up to see Faith and Russell walk in.
"I thought I told you to tell her NOT to bring him" AJ argued.
"I did" She replied. The couple made their way over to the group.
"Hey mate!" Russell exclaimed, holding out his hand. Brian shook it. "So your 26 now?"
"Yep" Brian replied.
"I remember being 26" He joked. Brian smiled at him. "Listen, I have a movie premiere I have to get to but I wanted to stop in and say 'Happy Birthday'. So..Happy Birthday"
"Thanks" Brian replied. "Have fun tonight"
"I will" He replied. He kissed Faith quickly before leaving the restaurant. She gave the group a big smile.
"So...I thought you said this was going to be a big party" Faith muttered, looking at Leighanne, Brian and AJ standing in an empty room.
Faith walked to the bar, pushing through hundreds of people. The place had filled up only a half an hour after she arrived. She had seen Nick once, walking to the bathroom, then she lost him. Faith grabbed a margarita and spun around, spilling it on Nick. He looked down, swearing, then looked up, not able to speak.
"Hey You" Faith exclaimed.
"Hey" Nick replied with no enthusiasm. She stared at him for a few seconds, both drawing blanks on what to say.
"So how have you been?" Faith asked. Nick shrugged.
"Good" He replied.
"Broken any hearts lately?" She asked.
"Only had mine broken" He replied, looking at her. Faith bit her lip.
"I think we need to talk" She replied. "Not here though"
"My hotel isn't far from here" He replied. Faith nodded, knowing far to well what would happen if she went back to his room. Nick took her hand and pushed through the crowd. Leighanne and Brian looked up from the booth they were in, smiling at eachother.
