Faith opened her eyes and stared at Nick. He smiled at her, then sighed.
"This is so relaxing" He exclaimed.
"I could stay here all night" Faith replied.
"Why don't you?" He asked. Faith smirked. She heard her cell phone ring and jumped out of the jacuzzi. She opened her purse and took out her cell.
"Hello?" She asked.
"Hey You" Russ replied. Faith smiled, then looked back at Nick and brought the phone with her into the bathroom.
"I'm so happy you called, I've missed you" Faith exclaimed.
"What have you been doing with yourself?" He asked.
"I've been hanging with Nick like everyday...You know...watching TV and stuff" Faith replied. The other end of the line was quiet.
"Oh" He mumbled. She laughed.
"Your not jealous are you?" She questioned with a grin.
"No...No...It's just....I have to wonder...The guy was your EX-I mean if I went around with my EX you'd think something was up too" He explained.
"Oh...Don't worry...Even if he was madly in love of me....There's only one man for me" She exclaimed.
"That's what I'm afraid of" He replied. Faith was silent.
"When do you get home?" She asked, unenthusiastic.
"One Week" He replied. She sighed.
"I'll see you then" Faith exclaimed.
"I love you" He declared.
"I love you more" Faith replied with a smile.
Nick watched Faith leave the bathroom and walk to his fridge. She looked around, then squeled.
"I found some White Wine" She exclaimed, grabbing 2 glasses from his kitchenette and walking back towards the jacuzzi. Nick took a glass and grabbed the bottle from her.
"Must be High Quality...It's a screw-off cap" Nick exclaimed. She smiled and jumped in the jacuzzi with him. He poured her a glass, then himself one, then placed the bottle on the ground. Nick moved over next to her and took a sip.
"This is why I like hanging out with you" She exclaimed, sipping her wine. "I can put all my worries aside and have some real fun"
"Then we should hang out all the time" Nick exclaimed. Faith looked over at him.
"No...Because at some point you need to go back to the real world Nick...Where nothing is as good as it looks" Faith exclaimed. Nick eyed her.
"Is everything Ok?" He asked. Faith nodded.
"Yea...Everything's Fine" She replied. Faith closed her eyes and leaned her head back, placing her wine glass on the side of the jacuzzi. Nick moved closer to her so their arms were touching. When Faith felt his arm on hers, she brought her head up, staring into his eyes. "What?"
"If I'm so great to be with....If everything is fun when your around me....Why don't you want to be with me?" Nick asked. Faith looked confused.
"Nick...I'm with you now" She replied.
"I mean...My girlfriend...Why can't you be my girlfriend?" Nick asked. Faith gulped. She had no idea that Nick wanted them to be like that.
"Because Nick....Because...When were dating it's the exact opposite...When we're dating it's like I can't wait to get back into the real world again-I can't explain it. Do you want us to be together?" She questioned.
Nick shook his head. "No"
"Then why did you ask?" She asked.
"Just wondering" Nick replied with a smile. He moved away to the other side of the jacuzzi and closed his eyes.
Nick's eyes popped open when he felt his head go under the water. When he resurfaced, Brian had his hand on his head and was smiling ear to ear.
"I yelled your name like 5 times and you just kept sleeping...So had to resort to violence" Brian explained with a grin. Leighanne stood next to Brian, also smiling.
"You look like a drowned rat" She commented. Nick shrugged and pulled himself outta the jacuzzi. He looked around for Faith.
"Who are you looking for? Did Nicky have some fun last night?" Brian asked. Nick made a face.
"Did you see Faith leave?" He asked.
"Well, if it was Faith that was here, Nick didn't get laid" Leighanne joked. Brian smiled, then stopped when he saw the look on Nick's face.
"I didn't see her leave...Why?" Brian asked.
"I must've fallen asleep...I can't believe she didn't say bye" Nick replied. Brian shot Leighanne a sympathtic look.
"You know Nick....Maybe you should play the field awhile-I mean Russell and Faith are together and I think it's real serious...Maybe you should go out a get a nice girl of your own" Brian exclaimed. Nick laughed.
"Me and Faith are just friends" He replied, leaving them and walking into his bedroom. Brian and Leighanne exchanged glances.
"Are you telling me they don't want me anymore?" She asked her manager. Her manager sighed.
"You haven't had a hit for over a year Faith, they're wondering if your heart is still in the business or not. That's why the world loved you, you were sincere in your words when you sang and people actually believed you MEANT something to them...But lately you haven't been there 100% and your contract with Virgin expires in a week.....They want to drop you" He explained. Faith felt her heart drop. She closed her eyes and took a breath. This had been her dream, this had been her life, this had been everything to her. But somewhere along the line, something else had become more important, though she couldn't quite pinpoint it right then.
"Ok" Faith replied. Her manager didn't know what to say.
"Ok?" He asked. "I just told you that your record label wants to drop you and you say Ok?"
"I'll have to get back to you" She replied, hanging up the phone. She couldn't believe she wasn't on the verge of a mental breakdown. The news, as bad as it would seem, wasn't a big drawback to her for some reason. Faith heard the phone ring and picked it up.
"Hello?" She asked.
"Hey Faith-I...um...My little brother is playing a concert in town tonight and I wanted to know if you wanted to come?" Nick asked. Faith smiled.
"Sure" She replied. She'd have to think more about her current situation later, she needed to be cheered up anyway and she knew Nick would be the right guy to do it.
