Faith opened her eyes. She cracked her neck and rolled over, expecting to see Nick sleeping next to her. But, He wasn't there. Faith got up and looked out the window. She narrowed her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing things. About 100 people were out on the Carter's back lawn. Faith went to quickly take a shower. She went into BJ's room and grabbed a skirt and a tank top. Faith put her hair up and ran downstairs. She was about to open the sliding door when the phone rang. Faith waited till the second ring, and when no one answered it she picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Is Ms. Brooks there?"
"This is her-Who is this?"
"This is Virgin Records-Your album just went platinum" A woman explained. Faith tried not to scream.
"For real?" Faith asked.
"Yes. You released it England before US correct?"
"Yea-Oh my god-This is so cool" Faith gushed.
"You're very hard to get a hold of Ms. Brooks. We wanted to confirm that you'll be making your video for the single "Love to Live" next week" The women explained.
"Shit" Faith swore. "I mean, Crap I forgot"
"We'll talk soon Ms. Brooks-Happy Easter"
"You too" Faith replied. She hung up. Faith opened the sliding door to the outside. Nick looked up from his sandwich and started to walk towards Faith. Everyone was looking at her, wondering who she was. Faith ran at Nick and when she reached him she jumped into his arms.
"I WENT PLATNUM" Faith exclaimed. Nick laughed.
"That's great" He replied. His relatives were eyeing the couple. Nick smirked.
"Would everyone be quiet for one second? This whole morning you all have been asking me if I had a girlfriend-well-I want everyone to meet my Fiancee, Faith Brooks" Nick exclaimed. Everyone exchanged glances. Some eyed her, while most smiled at her in aprroval.
"This will be a long day" Nick whispered in her ear. Faith laughed. She gave him a hug and went to meet his family. Nick laughed and watched her leave.
"I felt bad lying to the whole family like that" Faith muttered. They were lying in bed in the dark. Nick sighed.
"You weren't really Faith. We'll get in a big fight over something, we'll break-up, My mom will tell me I told you so and that'll be the end-It'll be fine" Nick replied. "Besides, they all love you-I think your the first"
"I don't believe that" Faith replied.
"Yea-They haven't liked any woman I've brought home since I was 14. The fact that we aren't even really dating is kinda ironic" Nick explained.
"Yea" Faith replied. Faith sighed. There Nick went, rubbing that in once again.
"I had fun last night" Faith explained.
"So did I" Nick replied. Faith was quiet, not talking.
"Good-night" Faith exclaimed.
"Night" Nick replied. She felt the bed move as he changed position. Faith sighed. She moved her body back until she felt his chest.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm cold" Faith lied. Nick moved his arm around her waist and brought his body closer to her. Faith smiled. "That's better-Thanks"
"Night" He whispered in her ear. Nick kissed her cheek. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
Nick's mom opened the door to wake the couple up. They were cuddled together sleeping soundly. Jane smiled. She shut the door and let them sleep. Faith heard the door close and woke up. Faith sighed. Their plane left at noon. It was 10:30. Faith got up and took a shower. Nick heard the shower go on and woke up. He looked around the room and got out of bed.
"What time does the plane leave?" Nick yelled.
"Noon" Faith yelled from the shower. Nick grabbed some khakis and a shirt. He threw them on and put the rest of his stuff in a bag.
"I promised Aaron we'd play some ball-I'll be outside" Nick exclaimed. She heard the door shut. Faith shut the water off and towel dried her hair.
"Where's faith?" Aaron questioned as he scored a basket. Nick smirked.
"Packing" Nick replied.
"Do you guys really have to go?" Aaron asked. Nick looked at his little brother and frowned. He never got to see the little guy anymore. Nick smiled at him.
"We've got stuff to do Aaron-I'll be home again before you know it" Nick replied.
"I doubt it" Aaron replied, making another basket. Nick heard the gargage door opened. Faith walked out with their bags.
"Can I play?" Faith asked.
"Sure" Aaron replied.
"How about-Me and Aaron against you Nick?" Faith questioned.
"I'm gonna win" Nick boasted. Faith laughed. Aaron threw Faith the ball. Nick ran over to block it but Faith took it to the net.
"Lucky" Nick muttered. Faith stuck her tougne out.
"How old are you?" Nick asked. Faith smiled.
"Young enough to stick my tougne out" Faith replied with a grin. Nick bounced the ball. Faith ran over to steal the ball. She moved her arm and swatted the ball away. Aaron ran over and brought it to the net.
"2-Zip...Ouch" Faith exclaimed with a smile. Nick laughed.
"Faith-You have a phone call" Jane exclaimed. Faith set the ball down. Sweat was running down her face as she picked the phone up.
"Yea?"
"This is Virgin again-we sceduled your photo shoot for Friday-In Cali with Joseph Kahn" A women explained.
"Ok" Faith replied.
"You'll meet them at the Hampton High School to shoot the video" She explained. Faith scribbled it on some paper. "Got that?"
"yea" Faith replied. She walked outside. Nick and Aaron were lying on the ground.
"Who was that?" Nick asked.
"It was Virgin-I have to stay in Cali til the end of the week to shoot my video" Faith explained. Nick looked up at her.
"Oh" He replied. Jane had been standing inside the garage listening to thier conversation.
"Well, it's Spring Break for the kids-Your free to stay here if you'd like" Jane explained.
"That would be great-Thanks so much" Faith exclaimed. Jane smiled. She looked at her watch.
"It's 10-Nick you better get going" She exclaimed. Nick nodded. He threw his bags into the back of the Excursion and took Faith's back inside. BJ came outside.
"You guys leaving?" She asked.
"Nick is-I'm not-I have to stay here until the end of the week" She explained.
"That's so cool-You and I can hang out" BJ explained. Nick came back out.
"You guys wanna come to the airport with me?" Nick asked. Faith, BJ and Aaron jumped into the car.
"I'll see ya little buddy" Nick exclaimed. Aaron and Nick stood hugging for a little while. People were looking at them, some recognized them and pointed, others just gave them smiles. Aaron stopped hugging Nick. BJ walked over and gave her Big Brother a hug.
"You better come home in like a month" She instructed.
"I'll try" He replied. Faith walked up and gave Nick a quick hug. She was about to walk away when Nick brought her in for a kiss. He wrapped his arms around her. When he pulled away, Faith smiled at him.
"Have a safe flight" Faith exclaimed. Nick hugged her again.
"I love you" Nick exclaimed. He said it loud enough for BJ and Aaron to hear. Nick leaned close to her ear. "Just for added effect"
Faith smiled at him and pulled away. Nick picked his carry on bag up and walked to the terminal. BJ smiled at Faith.
"That was really gross-You aren't suppose to do that stuff in public" Aaron exclaimed. Faith laughed.
"C'mon Air-Let's get out of here" BJ exclaimed.
