CHAPTER 18

Chapter 18

Megan pressed more of the raspberry chapstick onto her lips, making sure to put on just enough to make her lips glow. She smiled at her reflection in the mirror. She pulled on her push-up bra and a tight tank top, then pulled on some short shorts.

"MOM" Jason screamed. "Dad's here"

"K" Megan yelled. It had been a year and a half since she had told Brian about her pregnancy. Even though she had put the idea of Brian and Her being together out of her mind, 2 months before she had the baby, Brian bought himself a house only a block down the road from her, saying he wanted to be part of his children's lives. He came over every sunday and took the kids til wednesday, unless it was a school week, and in that case, they had switched Jason off between the two of them every other week. Megan pressed her bra up and walked downstairs. Since the guys weren't really a group anymore, she saw a lot of him.

"Hey Bri" She exclaimed. He looked up and gave Megan a smile, then followed Jason out of the house. She pouted, she'd spent about 3 hours on her hair and make-up and he only glanced at her. She walked into the kitchen and started dinner.

"So Daddy, when are you building that tree house for me?" Jason asked.

"When you decide whose house you want it at" Brian replied.

"Ours" He replied. Brian smiled.

"So at mine then?" Brian questioned. Jason shook his head no.

"No at mine, mommy's, and yours" He replied.

"Jason you know that isn't possible" Brian replied

"Why not?" Jason asked.

"Because" He replied. Jason just walked away from the basketball hoop they were playing at and went inside.

"What you cooking?" Jason asked, walking into the house.

"I'm cooking some lasana" Megan replied, opening the stove and pulling out her creation. Brian walked in and followed Jason into the kitchen.

"You ready to leave Jas?" Brian asked.

"I thought you'd at least stay for dinner, I promised Jason I'd make his favorite for him and i never got a chance to until today" Megan exclaimed. Brian looked at the food for a minute.

"I was planning on McDonald's but this is better" Brian replied. Megan grinned and walked over to set the table. Brian walked over and sat down, while Megan brought the food.

"The food looks a lot better then what you used to make" Brian joked.

"You never complained before" Megan objected.

"Well, I didn't want to make you cry, so even though i wanted to hurl, I ate it" Brian replied.

"It wasn't that bad" Megan objected.

"Yeh it was" Jason joked. Megan kicked him softly under the table.

"I took a cooking class and I've been hanging around with my ma lately" Megan explained.

"So your just the little homemaker now huh?" Brian asked. Megan shrugged. Just then, their little boy, Jordan, started to cry and Megan went to go check on him.

"Mom seems to be doing good eh?" Brian asked.

"Sometimes" Jason replied. "But somedays she acts weird, like today she spent the whole day putting make-up on and taking showers"

"She did, Did she?" Brian asked. Jason nodded, shoving lasana in his mouth. Brian excused himself and walked upstairs. He saw Jordan sitting in his crib, slowly falling back asleep. He turned around and looked through the door that connected Megan and Jordan's room together. She pulled off her tank top and shorts and was pulling on a t-shirt and some jean capris. Brian watched her for a second after she had her new outfit on and when she began to turn around, Brian moved back into Jordan's room so she couldn't see him. Megan walked in to Jordan's room and paused when she saw Brian standing there.

"What are you doing?" Megan asked.

"Checking on him" Brian replied. Megan smiled.

"I forgot I had a PTA meeting for the kindergarten pagaent at Jason's school tonight" Megan exclaimed.

"Oh, Do I need to go?" Brian asked. Megan laughed.

"I think I can handle it" She replied.

"Yeh I noticed. I'm real proud of you, you really have seemed to change" Brian replied. Megan shrugged. "I heard you spent the whole day getting ready for me"

"Huh? Oh, No I spent the day cutting the grass and working in the garden, so I was all smelly and then i rmembered the PTA meeting and I didn't wanna smell and I have to make a big impression"

"Some things never change" Brian smiled. "But, Megan Connor has a garden?"

"Yeh" She replied. She walked over and grabbed Jordan's carrying bag, handing it to Brian. "I gotta run, could you clean up things around here before you take the kids?"

"No problem" Brian replied. Megan smiled and went to leave the room, but Brian yelled after her. "And Megs?"

"Yeah?"

"You look good" He replied. Megan did a lil' bootie shake while leaving the room. Brian grinned and walked over to get Jordan.
