“Yeah Nick, I love you too” Katie exclaimed into the phone.
“See you soon Baby” Nick replied. Katie hung up the phone to see the pissed look on Nicole’s face.
“WHAT?” Katie yelled.
“Nothing” Nicole muttered. She fell onto the couch and laid her head back.
“Where’s Kris?” Nicole asked.
“She’s at exams, not like you, Krissie and I haven’t graduated yet” Katie laughed. Nicole had graduated a week ago-they had 2 ceremonies for the number of kids they had, Katie and Krissie got the second while Nicole graduated at the first one.
“Yeah” Nicole replied. Katie sat next to her.
“What’s the matter?” Katie asked.
“Katie-It’s been two months since Brian’s even called, when I call them, the guys say he’s gone” Nicole explained. Katie sat quietly.
“Ever think he really is busy?” Katie asked.
“No” Nicole muttered. Krissie opened the door with a smile on her face.
“Hey-Nicole what was your GPA?” Krissie asked.
“3.575, what was yours?” Nicole asked.
“3.601” Krissie replied. Nicole threw a pillow at her.
“Don’t start with me!” Nicole yelled. Krissie walked over and sat down on a chair. The phone rang and she answered it.
“Hallo?” Krissie asked.
“Hey babe” Kevin replied.
“Hey Kevy!” Krissie replied. She took the phone to her room while Nicole and Katie sat on the couch.
“See what I told you, Nick and Kev call almost everyday” Nicole cried.
“Every other day” Katie corrected her. Nicole grabbed a leash and grabbed Lily.
“I’m taking her for a walk” Nicole mumbled.
“So-When do you leave for New York?” Katie asked. Krissie packed the last of her clothes into a suitcase.
“Tomorrow at 6” Krissie replied. Krissie had accepted a job in New York as a receptionist for Virgin Records. It paid good and also paid for her plane ticket there.
“When does Nicole leave?” Katie asked.
“I think 6 tomorrow too” Krissie replied. Katie made a face.
“I’m all alone” Katie exclaimed. Krissie laughed.
“Get a job and you won’t be!” Krissie replied.
“Where is Nicole going?” Katie questioned.
“Why don’t you ask her?” Krissie asked.
“She’s gone-To get us Burger King” Katie replied.
“Fine, She’s moving to L.A., She’s the professors’ aid at some college there” Krissie replied. Krissie threw her 4 bags into the corner and brushed her bangs away from her face.
“OK” Katie replied. Nicole opened the door and walked in.
“I got the food” She exclaimed. Krissie ran over.
“What do we owe you?” Krissie asked.
“It’s on me, then again, 10 buck is a lot of money” Nicole joked. Lily walked over and rubbed her leg.
“What are you doing with the dog?” Katie asked.
“Holy shit, I forgot” Nicole replied. “I can’t take her on the plane with me”
“I guess I’ll take her,” Katie replied, petting Lily.
“Yeah-I could pick her up later” Nicole muttered. Krissie switched on the radio to hear Vitamin C’s ‘Friends Forever’
“This song isn’t making this situation any better” Katie muttered.
“You’re such a wuss” Krissie joked.
“I’m going to miss you guys!” Katie exclaimed. Nicole laughed and shoved her food at her.
“Eat” Nicole exclaimed. Katie set Lily down and ate her food.
“Bye Krissie!” Nicole exclaimed, hugging her good-bye.
“Don’t hug me, people could think we’re lezbians” Krissie exclaimed. Katie rolled her eyes.
“Bye Katie, Bye Angela” Nicole exclaimed. She hugged them and walked towards the boarding area. When she got in the plane she took a seat and sighed.
“LA, here I come” Nicole exclaimed out loud.
“Since, the professor is out today-I get to teach you” Nicole yelled over the 100 kids sitting in her class.
“Listen, How about Paul, you read a little from the book” Nicole suggested. Paul stood up and started to read Shakespere. Nicole leaned over and held her stomach. She fell off the stool she was sitting on.
“Nicole?” Someone yelled. A girl ran toward her.
“I’m studying to be a nurse!” She yelled. She examined Nicole for a second.
“Your water broke” She exclaimed. Nicole shook her head ‘no’ before passing out.
“Miss” The nurse exclaimed. Nicole opened her eyes slowly.
“Yeah” She gulped. The nurse handed her a little baby. Nicole held her breath, first counting fingers than toes.
“He’s a perfectly healthy baby” The nurse exclaimed. Nicole smiled.
“What will you name him?” The nurse asked. She held the baby’s certificates in her hands, ready to fill them out.
“Devon” Nicole exclaimed.
“And whose the father?” The nurse asked. Nicole looked at the baby then told the lady her answer.
“Well, that’s it” The nurse replied. She set the baby’s papers down on a table. She then took Devon from Nicole’s arms and set him in a clear container that looked like a bed.
“What, how did you get the baby out?” Nicole asked.
“We gave you a C-Section honey” The nurse replied. Nicole looked at Devon.
“Great” Nicole mumbled.
