Nicole felt a hand hit her arm so she pulled her Discman off her head, taking her Dixie Chicks CD and putting it in a case. Nick and Nicole were in the Bahamas for the week, The guys had off and school was done with for Nicole. She loved ‘Without You’ by the Dixie Chicks, it was her song. Everything in the song was true about her and Brian.
“What?” Nicole asked annoyed.
“You’ve been sorta out of it, we’re in the Bahamas…Have some fun” Nick commented. Nicole rolled her eyes.
“I’m just worried about leaving Devon with your mom” Nicole lied.
“My mom took care of me when I was little, and look how I’ve turned out” Nick replied.
“That’s why I’m worried” Nicole joked. Nick laughed.
“Want to go Scuba Diving later?” Nick questioned. They were lying on the beach on some beach chairs. No one had noticed any of the guys yet, which was good. Nick moved his hand from his chair to her leg.
“Maybe” Nicole replied, she picked Nick’s hand up and moved back to his chair. Brian walked over and laid a towel next to her chair.
“Hey guys, How are you?” Brian asked. Nick smiled.
“Good, you Rok?” Nick asked.
“I’m good man, Hey Nicole, How’s about you lay down on the sand with me?” Brian suggested. Nicole moved her chair out of the way and laid next to Brian on the towels. Nick rolled his eyes. He didn’t see why he stayed around with Nicole; She obviously didn’t want him. He sighed and got up.
“I’m going up” He explained. Nicole waved ‘bye’ to him as he left. Nick swore under his breath and walked towards the hotel.
“I want to show you something” Brian explained. He reached in his beach bag and pulled out a ring. Nicole pretended in her mind that he was giving it to her.
“How is it?” Brian asked. Nicole smiled as it glistened in the sun.
“Beautiful” Nicole replied. Brian laughed.
“Can I try it on?” She asked.
“Yea sure” Brian replied. He took it and placed it on her finger. Nicole held it up and smiled. She pulled it off, making her smile fade as she read the inscription.
“To Gina, Love Brian” Nicole read aloud.
“Is that corny?” Brian asked. Nicole smirked.
“Nah, it’s sweet, Listen Nick is acting weird so I’m going to go get him” Nicole exclaimed.
“Yeah sure, Can we talk later? I need to ask you something” Brian commented.
“Sure” Nicole replied grabbing her beach stuff.
“Maybe I should be like, woman, Do me” Nick laughed. Gina smiled.
“That would be an AJ thing to do” Gina joked. Nick smiled. “She just needs to get over Brian, I mean, I know how she would feel without him”
“This is kinda weird talking to you about this, ya know, my g/f is your competition” Nick commented.
“Competition? I’ve got Brian, I know I do, Nicole is just an obstacle we all need to get over” Gina replied.
“What do you mean by that?” Nick snapped. Before she could reply Nicole walked in.
“I’ve been looking all over for you” Nicole exclaimed.
“Really?” Nick asked.
“Yeah, I thought you wanted to go Scuba Diving” Nicole replied.
“Yea, Let’s go, Gina you want to come?” Nick asked. Nicole shot Gina a glance.
“Nah, you two have fun” Gina replied. “I’m going to sit out with Brian”
“That shark could’ve eaten me!” Nicole whined. Brian laughed loudly. They were up in Brian’s room, sitting on his bed.
“Sounds like you had fun” Brian joked.
“No, It was scary as hell, Nick kept going up to the animals and touching them, I was getting ready for one of them to eat him!” Nicole exclaimed, “Anyway, by the beach you had to tell me something”
“Have you noticed how Nick and Gina have been hanging out a lot?” Brian asked.
“Yeah, but we hang together to” Nicole replied.
“It’s different, I would never do anything with you, whereas Nick and Gina…” Brian started.
“Bri, Don’t be silly” Nicole replied.
“This is the woman I plan to spend my life with, Have kids with, Love until death do we part” Brian exclaimed. Nicole was quiet.
“What did you mean, You’d never do anything with me?” Nicole questioned.
“I mean, we’d never do anything physical together” Brian exclaimed. Nicole sat still for awhile, she felt tears coming, but pushed them off.
“Brian, I have to tell you something” Nicole exclaimed. Brian looked at her, noticing her face.
“Nick and Gina are screwing around aren’t they? That’s why you two always look apart, I’m going to break his..” Brian started.
“I love you” Nicole broke in.
“Balls so he can’t touch….What did you say?” Brian stopped.
“I’ll never stop, We should’ve never broken up, I wanted to tell you, but I felt bad about it” Nicole explained.
“Stop jerking my chain” Brian exclaimed.
“I love you more than anything Bri, screw every other guy in my life, I love you” Nicole cried. Brian looked at her. Nicole leaned forward kissing Brian’s lips. He was going to pull away, but her lips felt right. They didn’t hear the hotel room door open as Gina and Nick walked in.
“Brian?” Gina asked. Brian pulled away and stared at her.
“Baby…I can explain!” Brian started. Gina shook her head ‘no’.
“Burn in hell!” Gina screamed. She took off out the door. Brian ran after her, Nicole was about to speak but Nick stopped her.
“Don’t” Nick mumbled. He walked out the door, leaving Nicole sitting on Brian’s bed.
“GINA!” Brian screamed.
“Brian, how could you?” Gina cried, stopping in the hall. They were outside AJ’s, Kev’s and Howie’s bedroom.
“I didn’t mean to, one thing led to another and…” Brian commented.
“Good thing I caught you, what if I would’ve married you, you would’ve done this to me later on” Gina cried. Brian reached out to her, but she pushed him away. AJ opened his door and noticed Gina’s face stained with tears.
“What the fuck?” AJ asked. Gina ran into his room. AJ shot Brian a look.
“What the hell did you do this time Brian? All the nice one’s you always screw up with” AJ snapped. He closed the door, while Brian walked towards his room.
“Hello?” Katie asked.
“Hey Kates” Nick exclaimed. He was in his room talking on the phone.
“Hey, what are you doin’ calling me? You’re in the Bahamas remember?” Katie joked.
“Why didn’t I see it?” Nick asked.
“Nicole and Brian had sex didn’t they?” Katie asked.
“They did?” Nick questioned.
“No, I mean, nevermind, what happened?” Katie asked.
“I fell for her, Today we went Scuba Diving, we hadn’t been really bonded all week, then today, we had so much fun. We were messing around, so Gina and I walk into Bri’s room and their kissing” Nick explained. Katie was quiet. She wanted to tell him she’d do anything for him, she loved him, she wanted him….but she didn’t.
“She’s just confused Nick, just tell her the truth about how you feel” Katie explained. Nick heard his door open.
“Kates, I gotta run” Nick explained, hanging up on her.
