A non-refundable booking fee of $350.00 is payable with this contract. The Stallion Service Fee is payable immediately upon the birth of a live foal. This contract contains a "Live Foal Guarantee". A live foal is described as a newborn foal which stands and nurses. If foal is born dead, there are return privileges for the 2004 season only if Breeder is notified within 10 days and receives a veterinarian statement confirming death. If after pronounced "safe in foal", the mare should miscarry, abort or prove barren, mare owner has the privilege to return her for breeding during the current breeding season or the following year.

One shipment of two insemination doses of fresh cooled semen is included in the Booking Fee. Any additional shipments will be charged to the Mare Owner at $150.00 each when Island Farm is given 24 hour notice. Same day notice or weekend shipments will be charged at $250. The Mare Owner is responsible for all transportation charges to ship semen and return of the Equitainer within 3 days or a $50 late fee will be charged. A charge of $450 is added if the Equitainer is not returned. Any parts missing from the Equitainer will be charged accordingly.

The mare shall be in healthy and sound breeding condition, free from all infectious, contagious or transmissible disease. A current negative Coggins Test, veterinarians health certificate, plus a health, worming and immunization record must accompany mare. Breeder's veterinarian will examine and/or test mare at Mare Owner's expense. Breeder reserves the right to refuse mare if not in satisfactory condition. All mares not foaling in the current season, that are not true maidens, must have a negative uterine culture prior to breeding.

Neither Island Farm nor its members, agents, or employees shall be liable for injury, death or disability suffered by the mare or foal at side from any cause whatsoever while in the custody of Island Farm, and the owner specifically assents to such condition and waives each and every claim for damages resulting from such injury, death or disability.
