BLACK & GREEN SPIRAL WITH APACHE TEAR PENDANT This spiral necklace was made for a charity event to benefit our local hospital renovation campaign. I used size 11 seed beads. The pendant is a polished Apache Tear. |
FIRST LOOMED PROJECT This is the first loomed beadwork I have made. I combined my love of quilting into my love of beadwork. The chain is a modified Right Angle Weave stitch. The backing beadwork is solid blue size 11 seeds. |
BLUE ASTER VINE CHOKER This piece is based on the modified daisy chain tutorial entitled "Flower Power" in Bead & Button Magazine, April 2004. I named my version "Blue Aster" because it looks exactly like the blue asters in my garden! This was a very fun project, took me about 6 hours during my vacation in September 2004. KRIS'S AMULET BAG This amulet bag was made for a very dear and very patient friend of mine. I used size 11 Japanese seed beads in the peyote stitch. The charms are an acorn and an apple, and both have sacred meaning to us. The strap is a simple strung strap with a moon-and-star hook-and-eye clasp. I completed the bag January 2007.
