I know what you’re here to do.

And it excites me.

And that’s bad, isn’t it?

How can I find this exciting?

But I do.

 

It’s just the thought.

The thought of you standing there,

Your adrenalin surging,

Your gun clasped in your hand,

Your jaw set, your eyes sharp...

 

The thought of you clad in black,

Hiding in the shadows,

Like Death...

Waiting...waiting for me.

 

I imagine walking up behind you,

and running my hands over your shoulders.

Your body lean and hard and coiled like a steel trap.

Would you jump? Would it startle you?

 

Or would you just turn calmly towards me.

Fixing me with your eyes.

Daring me to go further.

And you know I would.

I’d go as far as you wanted me to go.

In fact, I’d go way beyond that point.

 

I wouldn’t even make you let go of the gun.

You wouldn’t even have to put it down.

(You’re not likely to do that anyway, are you?)

You could run the cold steel over my skin,

Raising goose bumps...

If you wanted.

 

Whatever you want...Only let me kiss you.

Let me feel your tongue in my mouth.

Let me trail my fingers over your bare skin,

Your smooth, white, flawless skin...

Glowing in the darkness

As I slowly strip the black away from your body

And leave you standing in front of me

Naked...

Vulnerable...

Except for the gun.

 

Then you tell me that you’ve never done this...

That you’ve never done that...

That you’ve never fired a bullet...

Not yet anyway.

And I smile, knowing that I’ll be your first.

 

I’ll be your first.

And after we’re done, you’ll be a man.

And you’ll be a killer.

And I’ll have been your first...

After all,

A job is a job.
