Chichiri is always smiling due to his mask, but underneath his soul is tormented. He carries a great deal of undealt with guilt and grief and is reminded of it everytime he sees his scar. Maybe this split personality is why he is a Gemini, ne?
Another great trait of Chichiri is his ability to end every sentence with "No Da!" It may have something to do with his mental state, but who knows. I think it's adorable.
He becomes very good friends with Tasuki and travels with him a lot. Chichiri is also always there when Miaka needs someone to talk to and he never fails to cheer up even the most depressed people.
