I define myself as a pagan. I work with deities from many different pantheons.I do not call myself Wiccan, although many of its fundamental precepts I hold to be true.Any religion that becomes organized goes against every grain in my body.Over the years, I have taken a little bit of this and that from many different belief systems.I think I most closely relate to the Radical Faeries,a group of Gay pagans founded by Harry Hay. I identify deeply with my own Celtic heritage, being of Irish and Scottish ancestry(as well as Cherokee and Black Dutch). My primary Patrons are Angus Mac Og and Bast. But while I enjoy working with these deities, I still believe that all gods are one god. Each deity is only an aspect of the One True Power, which I feel is unknowable.Other aspects of God/dess which I am drawn to are Pan and Cerridwyn. I respect everyone's right to believe as they choose. Unfortunatly, our culture has a tendency to take sides on this issue, from the radical right which claims that Christianity,Judaeism and Islam are the only true paths to righteousness, to many Wiccans who feel that Gay and Lesbian folks can't worship the Goddess properly because of Polarity issues. I only know that the Path I walk is right for me,and I don't expect anyone else to choose this path unless they do so freely.I also know that in both camps there are individuals who are loving and accepting, and I wish them well on their own paths.
