After last week's encouraging win the Lions kept up the run with a 9-5 victory over Jako.We had already beaten this team in our first match of the season and felt confident of doing so again, especially as they started the game with only 6 players. The Lions took full advantage as 2 goals from Spencer and one from Alexander saw the Lions race into an early lead. The opposition could hardly get the ball out of their own penalty area, let alone into our half. After about 20 minutes another player turned up to make it 7,but it made little difference as the goals continued to come. The in-form Wallace scored a brace of well taken goals and K.Brown also grabbed a couple to put the Lions 7-1 up at half time. The opposition had a full team for the second half and started to put us under a bit of pressure. The pressure was converted into goals as the Lions lost their way a bit.It was a game which we were always in control of butlet them get back into too much.Ian,Chelsea,Brown was unlucky not to have got on the score sheet with an excellent lob.Keeping up his impressive scoring rate ( impressive for his age anyway ) was Boris who scored with a header.Chairman Hewit scored again to make it 9-5 at the final whistle.Another important win and another 3 points as we head for the higher reaches of the league and get the Dragons in our sights.
