Episode Summary:
In a dream, Buffy gets a warning: "From beneath it devours." Soon after, Xander meets a girl who has had a close encounter with something that "devoured" her little dog. Is it what Buffy dreamed about? The truth brings together strayed Scooby members, at least for the moment.

Review:
The main plot of this is a little weak, but the subplots are strong and significantly advance the story. Spike is back, semi-sane, and we learn a little more about what having a soul has really done to him. The ending to this episode is very poignant.
