Challenge: Create an image inspired by Spike's quote from Tabula Rasa. On discovering his "super powers" he exclaims, "Hey, I'm a superhero, too!"
Info: This was SOOO much fun! Thanks for the challenge, Belladonna! I've been wanting to do some "changing body" manipulations for a while. They're tough for me…I'm new to the game and my program isn't as flexible as photoshop. But this gave me a great excuse to do it.
I went with the single Witchblade image to start, and managed to get Buffy looking pretty good. I copied the section with the comic hair (originally brown) and copied it, changing the hue and brightness until I had a somewhat blond look. I modified the transparency and erased everything that wasn't hair. I put Buffy's face under that, increased the contrast a lot and changed the hue slightly to match the redness of the Witchblade character. Then I modified transparency and put the image of her face behind the image of her hair. Voila! Buffy wears the Witchblade. And grows some serious cleavage. LOL
Ian was my next manip, and Angel won out because his coloring was better than Spike's and because I had a decent shot of him looking in the right direction. He was a little tougher. I'm still not completely happy with him, but he's not bad. Ian (the comic book character) has a very long, narrow face. I did the same thing to place Angel's face as I did Buffy's, but had to modify the transparency of the hair so it didn't look like a wig, and then erased a small portion of it to let Angel's ear through, which I think helped a lot.
I used a parchment background for a comic look (erasing sections of it so that Angel and Buffy show through decently), but it was still boring, so I added a stock pic of some radiating light. I've always liked the quote from the show, "Witchblade," that's on the graphic. To make it fit with the Buffy theme, I added a pic of Buffy's tombstone from season 6. The two fonts are Aquiline and Blasphemy. I added an inner bevel to "special day" and that was that.
I really liked the results I got on this one, so I made it into a wallpaper, too. Check it out!
