~ A FACT TO PONDER ON ! ~
The Old Testament is an account of a Nation;
The New Testament is an account of Man.
The Nation was founded and nurtured of God to bring Man into the world.
And to know, and Love and follow Christ ! He is the center and heart of the Bible, the center and heart of History, is the center and heart of Our Lives. Our Eternal Destiny is in His Hand. Folk's, our acceptance, or rejection of Him, determines, for each of us, Eternal Glory, or Eternal Ruin; Heaven or Hell; One, or the other, there is no second chance or choice !
His appearance on the earth is the Central Event of all history.
The Old Testament sets the stage for it.
The New Testament describes it:
{1} THEN :
As a man, He lived the most strangly Beautiful Life ever known. He was the Kindest, Tenderest, Gentlest, Most Patient, Most Sympathetic man that ever lived. HeLOVED people, He hated to see people in trouble. He loved to forgive. He loved to Help. He wrought marvelous miracles to feed those who were hungry. For relieving the Suffering He forgot to take food for himself. Multitudes, weary, pain-ridden, and heart-sick, came to Him, and found healing and relief. It is said of Him, and of no other, that if all the deeds of Kindness, that He did were written, the world could not contain the book's. This, Folk's, is the kind of man Jesus was. That is the kind of Person, the God we serve is !
{2} THEN :
He Died, on the Cross, to take away the sin of the world, to become the Redeemer and Saviour of all man-kind.
{3} THEN :
He Rose from the Dead, and is Alive Now ! Not merely an historical character, but a Living Person. The Most Important Fact of History, and Most vital Force in the world today. The Word of God, the Holy Bible is builded around this Beautiful Story of Christ, and His promise of Eternal Life to those who Accept Him. And the Bible was written only that men might Believe, and Understand and Know, and Love, and Follow Him !

The story has been told around, about the four teen age boys in a Phoenix school that cut class one morning in the middle of the week. They finally showed up at noon. Their explanation was that they had a flat tire. The teacher said, " That's O. K. boys, you did miss a test, but you can make it up right now on your lunch break. " With this she proceeded to seat each of the boys in one of the four corners of the class room and gave them each just a one question
test.
" Which tire was flat ? "
AND BE SURE YOUR SIN WILL FIND YOU OUT !
The story was told about a certain lady, who lived in a small town and was preparing to entertain some of her city guests, so she went over too the local country store to buy some food. She went to the back of the store to the meet counter and aske the clerk for a large chicken. He reached down into the cold storage bin of the meat compartment, grabbed the last chicken he had, and placed it on the scale. " This one weighs four and a half pounds, ma'am, " he said. " I'm not sure that will be enough, " the lady replied. " Don't you have a bigger one ? " The clerk then put the chicken back into the cold storage bin, pretended to search through the melting ice for another one, and then brought out the same chicken, discretely applying some finger presure to the scale. " Ah, " he said with a big smile on his face. " This one weighs six and a half pounds. " I'm not sure, " the woman said as she gave a little frown. I'll tell you what, I'll take both of them ! "
AND BE SURE YOUR SIN WILL FIND YOU OUT !
Here is a story that is told about a soldier that was overseas, and he received a " DEAR JOHN " letter from his girlfriend, which told him that she was breaking off their engagement and asking that he return her photograph.
This news made him very annoyed and very upset, so he ask around the barracks, to all of his buddys that they would gather all of their unwanted photographs of women they had. He then bundle all of those photographs together and mailed them to her with a note that said:
" Regret that I cannot remember which one of these girls is you. So would you please pick out your photo and return to me all the others. "
AND BE SURE YOUR SIN WILL FIND YOU OUT !
There is a story going around about a very frugal man who was looking for a gift for a very close dear friend. Everything was way too expensive except for a glass vase that had been broken in the store, which he could purchase for almost nothing. He asked the store clerk to send it, hoping his close dear friend would think it had been broken in transit.
In due time of several days, he received an acknowledgement. " Thanks for the glass vase, " it read. " It was so thoughtful of you to wrap each piece separately. "
AND BE SURE YOUR SIN WILL FIND YOU OUT !
Let me tell you a story about a conversation which took place in a chicken coop, down at farmer Brown's. Early one morning the hen said to the rooster, " I'm going to do something that;s never been done before. I'm going to lay an egg in the rafters above ! " The rooster said, " I'm very sorry but it has already been done. " well, then, the hen said, " I'm going to lay an egg on the roof top of the farmer Brown's house. " Again the rooster replied, " Too late, it's already been done. Well, then the hen said, looking all around, " I'm going to leave this chicken coop and run out there on that busy interstate highway and there lay my egg. " Well then the rooster really shouted, " Then go ahead, but you better lay it on the line and be quick about it ! "
AND BE SURE YOUR SIN WILL FIND YOU OUT !
Well I'm no hen chicken, but being the that I am,
" LET ME LAY IT ON THE LINE " for you folk's
Have you noticed your sin always finds you out ? You might say: " Well Pastor Bill, what does it mean for someone's sin to find them out ? " Well, here's what it means in plain old Bible language: JAMES 1:14 ~ " But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. " V:15 ~ " Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. " V:16 ~ " Do not err, my beloved brethren. "
Sin, Folk's, is a powerful darkness. It tortures the conscience of man and destroys self confidence in a good life here on this earth and a better life after death. Sin, to put it very blunt, messes up not only our hope and future, but it also robs us of our joy. If our sin continues, it will take us straight to a burning hell ! Again I say to you : " LET ME LAY IT ON THE LINE " for you folk's, JESUS CHRIST is your only hope of ETERNAL LIFE. I'll tell you this, without Him, you'll split hell wide open. Remember this : Jesus is God, and He is the Alpha and Omega. The First and the Last. The Beginning and the Ending, saith the Lord, which is and which was, and which is to come, The Almighty. { Revelation 1:8 }
So Folk's ! Right now is the time to repent of your sins, turn your life completely over to JESUS CHRIST. allow Him and the power of the HOLY GHOST to guid and direct your life, free from old sins. If not, you can be sure that your sins will find you out.
NUMBERS 32: 23 ~ " ...... : and be sure your sin will find you out. "
Folk's let me sum it all up for you ! Jesus is coming soon and you need to be ready to meet Him ! There is a lot of folk's that go down to the dock to meet the boat, but are not ready to go on board, so the boat pulls out with out them and they miss the boat completely, I trust you will be ready ?
God's Word declares : I CORINTHIANS 1:7 ~ " So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: "
