Meycauayan Church Facade

The facade of Meycauayan church is a stucco-plastered facade. It has three portals with semicircular arch. Its main door exhibits intricately carvings like those of San Agustin Church in Intramuros with bas relieves of St. Francis and St. Claire together with native flora carvings. The main door is flanked with two smaller ones with semicircular arch. Both doors with two columns mounted on rectangular pedestals that support the weight of the second level. The second level of the facade follows the symmetry of the first one. Three semicircular arched windows are very prominent. The smaller windows on the left and right sides are balustraded and are both decorated with stained glass likeness of St. Francis and St. Claire. Between these smaller windows is a former window now serving as an access to the porte chochere. It has a main semicircular opening with stained glass panel of the Resurrected Christ. Alternating these windows are four Corinthian columns topped with urn-like finials. Above the second level is a simple pentagonal pediment. It is only decorated by a single niche that houses the ancient wooden image of the church titular, St. Francis of Assisi. At the apex of the pediment is a metal cross.
