XPW Look:What does a former WWF and ECW champion want with XPW? To prove himself in the nation's newest proving grounds! Chris Candido and Tammy "Sunny" Sytch debuted on January 28 in Ventura, CA. "I'm here for one thing only, and that's the XPW World Title," he said as he confronted former XPW World Champ Damien Steele. "From what I hear, the road to that title leads right through you," he said, "So if I have to kick your ass, that's what I'm going to do!" The following night, at the sold-out Palace in Hollywood, Lizzy Borden declared that the vacant XPW World Title would be decided in a match between Jake Lawless and Michael Modest, both members of The Hierarchy. Much to the chagrin of Steele, who had hoped his match with Candido would be for the strap, the match was set. Steele and Candido went one-on-one in a tremendous technical bout. Steele, confident he could win, but always with a back-up plan, had Lawless come to the ring and attempt to knock out Candido with a steel chair. The plan backfired and Steele was on the receiving end, followd by being pinned by Candido. But the night was not over for Steele. Steele, perhaps attempting to get vengeance on Lawless, or perhaps part of his master plan, hit Modest with a chair, allowing Lawless to get the pin. But Lawless as World Champ only lasted a few moments as Damien handed him an envelope (apparently with a load of $$$) and a baggie with white pills he said he got out of Kronus' bag in exchange for the XPW World Title! Now, beaten moments before by Candido, Steele was once again king of his world. But exactly how long will Steele's second reign last? On Friday, February 25, in Ventura, CA, Candido has his shot to become XPW World Champion!
Future:Candido could be in XPW once again considering he was fired from WCW.
