HWF Sunday Slam – Live from the HWF arena.
[The show began with footage from the biggest show of the year, Revenge, showing the new tag champs, Jake being blown up, the carnage that was the TV Title Match, Chug on fire as a chicken, and Hempy holding the World Title]
We get right to the action, as the winner of this match will face the tag champs Sir Exton + Able.
Bounty A + B v Whirl Wind + Guru Arjin
The mystery partner is Guru Arjin, who is followed to the ring by nearly 100 followers. He takes the mic, and says unlike Able he really is worth listening to and having faith in.
The match begins with the still not 100% Whirl Wind being beaten badly by both Bounties using great teamwork to prevent WhirlWind from tagging his partner. A big splash from Bounty B gets a 2 count. However he misses the second attempt at a big splash, and WhirlWind inches over to make the tag. Guru Arjin starts strongly knocking down both men with dropkicks. But the newcomer makes a mistake up at the top rope and is superplexed for a very near fall. Bounty A then begins whipping Arjin with his trusty belt, but in doing so his jeans fall down!!! While he sorts himself out, Guru makes the tag and WhirlWind hits the Tornado DDT on both Bounties and pins Bounty A to get the Tag Title shot.
[Backstage we see Jake Andrews in the front row in a wheelchair from the bombs at Revenge. Clip of the explosion follows]
[Eclipse is in the boiler room, as a man arrives, who tells him the Hardcore Title Match is next! Eclipse looks at him blankly, but walks toward the ring]
Iceberg v Eclipse
Berg came to the ring with a number of goodies, including some plastic explosive! He takes the mic and talks about Revenge, and goes to shake Jakes hand as a way of apologizing. The crowd roar as they shake hands, but there is soon a chorus of boos as Iceberg pushes over Jakes wheelchair, and hits the concrete on his head. As EMT’s help the screaming Andrews, Eclipse appears out of nowhere to attack Berg from behind. Iceberg is beaten down in the early stages of this match, the opportunistic Eclipse using an odd combination of moves as varied as a hammerlock into a neckbreaker and a suicide plancha. This suicide plancha hurts Eclipse as much as the champ and Iceberg gets up first, stomping the challenger. Iceberg grabs a breezeblock and demolishes it on the knee of Eclipse. Berg takes the mic and says that he is going to destroy Eclipse and put him in a wheelchair like he did to Jake. As Jake is wheeled off on a stretcher Iceberg chants “Na Na Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye!”
Berg then hits the Ice Pick on an unconscious Eclipse for the win.
[Shot of Iceberg celebrating as EMT’s treats Eclipse, but he ignores their help and hops out of the arena to the roar of the crowd.]
[Hempy, Mcguinn + The Italian Stallion are walking to the ring. Hempy takes the mic and proclaims them the 3 best wrestlers in the HWF and will prove it tonight]
Hempy Mcguinn + Italian Stallion v Chug, Iron Wolf and Pual Honksaad
This is an elimination tag match, and we start with Iron Wolf and Italian Stallion. The Stallion gets the advantage with a hip toss, and hits a firemans carry for a near fall. Mcguinn tagged in and continued the beat down on Wolfie. He was soon in further trouble when while Hempy distracted the ref, Stallion attacked from behind with a chair. Mcguinn got the 3 to eliminate Iron Wolf but was quickly beaten up by Pual, who is angry from losing his TV Title to Mcguinn. But Pual missed a leg drop, allowing Mcguinn to tag in Hempy, who hit the PualBomb on Honksaad for 2!!!!! Then he hit the Hempy Cutter for 3.
Chug is now all alone against 3. Hempy tags in Italian Stallion who takes a T Bone suplex immediately from Chug. As the Stallion writhed in pain, Chug hit the Chugger train for the 3. Mcguinn was soon in trouble, thanks to a piledriver from Chugger. Chug missed a very risky looking moonsault, allowing Hempy to be tagged in.
Hempy took advantage with a big belly to back suplex. He then signalled for the Hempy Cutter but was reversed into a pin by Chug, who was reversed by Hempy. Both men’s shoulders were down, and both got pinned, leaving Mcguinn the sole survivor.
After the match Chug is beaten down by Mcguinn + Hempy before Pual made the save.
