Contrary to reports you may have read, Scott Levy will be known as "Raven" in the WWF as he has been in both ECW and WCW. He, not any promotion, has full rights to that name. Actually, I think I mentioned this one other time.

Raven will debut in the WWF soon after SummerSlam. The WWF will most likely not recognize *uh huh, yeah that figures as much* the past history between Raven and Steven Richards. However there is talk that if Saturn cannot get over with Terri, that he might align himself with Raven much like he did in WCW. Raven has lost a good amount of weight and is in better shape than a few months ago. He has been training real hard and wants to make a successful run in the WWF. The rumors of Raven joining Kane or Gangrel are totally false.

Raven Still Waiting for ECW Release

- Although August 26 Raven is definetely getting released, he is going to have to wait it out. Raven was hoping that he could get his release earlier to he could jump over to the WWF however; Paul Heyman is refusing to release Raven at this moment.

Raven is expected to join the WWF on Monday night RAW the night after Summerslam. Earlier reports speculated that Raven was scheduled to debut this coming Monday, but all earlier reports were false. The WWF has thrown around putting Raven with Kane, Gangrel, and Paul Bearer in an evil-type faction.

-There is nothing new to report regarding Raven's contract situation. He has been paid on schedule for the last two pay periods despite not working since the July 8 ECW Arena show.

- WWF officials are already beginning to put together the pieces for Raven's WWF re-debut. It is believed he'll use the same gimmick he has been during his WCW and ECW stints, but will possibly ally with someone or form his own stable.

- Raven's WWF contract has a low downside guarantee - or at least by the standards of what a wrestler like him is expected to receive - and he has to prove he's past his problems to the company. He is also receiving a no tolerance policy if he screws up, but if he doesn't screw up, he'll be given every chance to be the top line performer he can be. A lot of the WWF wrestlers (like Saturn, Sick Boy, Jericho just to name a few) who have wrestled him before asked the WWF to hire him because they wanted him in the mix.

Scott Levy (Raven) owns all rights to the name and character of Raven. This means that if and when he jumps to the WWF, there will be no problems with him using the Raven gimmick. ECW will not be releasing him early from his contract, so we will see him in ECW until August.

Everyone has said that Raven cannot go to the World Wrestling Federation due to his ECW contract. Well, that is not true. The real reason Raven cannot go to the WWF is because of a clause in his WCW contract. That clause states that Raven cannot debut on WWF television for one year from the date he was released from WCW, which is August 27th.(Thanks A LOT WCW, always have to ruin something) That is why Raven went to ECW in the first place, because he couldn't go to the WWF for a year. Raven can SIGN WITH THE WWF sometime in Mid-July, but cannot debut until the 27th of August. Ironically, August 27th just happens to be the date of WWF Summerslam. Right now, I am hearing that Raven will most likely debut at WWF Summerslam on August the 27th.

Raven has agreed to a WWF contract, but ECW will not release him until his contract expires in August. Raven owns his name and gimmick, and the WWF is interested in having him use his current gimmick.

At this point it's not a question of if, but when Raven starts here. He had a meeting this past week with Jim Ross at Titan Towers. He hasn't signed a contract, nor could he legally since he doesn't have a release from ECW. He's pretty well made an agreement to start after getting his ECW release and will be doing the same Raven character. Even though Paul Heyman had talked for weeks about releasing him, at this point, because he's lost weight and has straightened up, or maybe having nothing to do with such, the release hasn't been given and may be held up for a while. His ECW contract expires on 8/26 if he doesn't get a release, but figures to get one before that point.

Raven's meetings with the WWF went great. The WWF is interested in signing him if he stays in shape, shows up for ECW TV, and has a positive attitude. This made Raven very happy. ECW is a bit upset because it took the WWF to motivate him. The WWF is interested in keeping him with his current gimmick. Raven has been in the WWF under a different alias, Johnny Polo, the manager of former WWF Tag Team Champions, the Quebecers. Raven also managed Bryan Clarke, who was known as "Atom Bomb" while in the WWF, damn Im so amazed at how EVERYBODY is forgetting that Raven managed all 3 wrestler's.

Raven, real name Scott Levy, met with Jim Ross on Friday, and reportedly was offered a full WWF contract. Raven is under contract with ECW until late August, but he was offered a release from that contract from ECW head Paul Heyman a month ago. Raven accepted the release, but has yet to recieve it to be signed.

- Raven has been meeting with the WWF this week. The WWF sent him word that it would be good for his chances of signing if word came out of ECW that he shows up on time, stays healthy, performs well, etc. He took the advice, as his reviews in ECW have improved. If he signs with the WWF, the WWF is open to the idea of continuing with his Raven name and persona, such as they did with Tazz.

Raven received some good reviews on his recent behavior. He looks better than he has in a long time and looks to be having some fun again. Due to other business matters, the ECW lawyers have yet to draw up his release papers.

Raven was pulled from the Pittsburgh show due to a leg injury he suffered the week before. He managed to work the show in Erie, but he was told to go home once Tommy Dreamer, who has been running shows in Paul Heyman's absence, saw that he was having a hard time putting weight on his leg. His injury is described as a deep bruise and isn't thought to be too serious. Raven's release papers still haven't been drawn up because ECW's lawyers are said to be busy with more important matters.

Raven, by all accounts is expected to be FINISHED with ECW. With his no-play in angles, countered with his current injuries, a return to TV is highly unlikely. If his role in ECW discontinues now, the chances of him going to WCW are far greater. Another option may be for him to get into shape, then try his luck with the WWF. Confusing situation, that will only become clear with time, stay tuned.

Raven's leg injury is still giving him problems. It is still swollen up and he missed the ECW TV Tapings in Pittsburg last night (Saturday). He had so much trouble with it that he could barely put any weight on it yesterday.

Raven, if you haven't already heard, is injured. His back pains seem to be getting worse and worse as days go by, and instead of showing up at the PPV last Sunday, he saw ECW's doctor. I'm still waiting for a report on his medical status.

Raven will begin working a full time schedule with ECW in the next couple of weeks. Until then he will just work PPV's and TNN tapings.

Obviously, Mike Awesome made his debut, and is signed, sealed, and delivered in a contract with WCW. Now, ECW did get a cash settlement [along with various other agreements] for allowing Awesome to debut on Nitro, however, who will Mike job the ECW World Belt to? Wednesday night, expect to see either Raven or Tommy Dreamer to walk away the new 'Champ. ECW was planning on feuding Raven and Dreamer anyway going into Summer, so Awesome's leaving didn't really screw up things, but rather just speeded up the script.

Raven's contract expires in August with ECW, look for him to be picked up by WCW.

Raven will be with Extreme Championship Wrestling until AUGUST 25TH 2000. It will be at his discretion if he wants to leave for one of those "other" promotions, or stay with ECW. So we have until then to ENJOY his services.

ECW Not To Re-sign Raven

ECW will not even attempt to re-sign Raven after his contract expires this summer. ECW is upset over Raven's weight and out of ring behavior. Raven is already telling friends that he will jump to the WWF after his contract is up.

Strong rumors are circulating that Raven might be heading to the WWF once his ECW contract runs out in early August. If you don't recall the last time he was in the WWF he was a manager and went under the name Johnny Polo, and that didn't last too long.
