Since being named the new CEO of the World Wrestling Federation by Linda McMahon,
Stone Cold Steve Austin has managed to make Shane and Mr. McMahon’s corporate lives a
complete hell. In addition to firing some of the McMahon’s suits, he has also turned Mr.
McMahon’s office into a fully functional horse barn and beer outlet. However, also due to his
newfound power, Stone Cold has also succeeded in making their personal lives unbearable as
well. When Austin allowed the members of the Union a shot at anybody in the Federation,
both Shane and Mr. McMahon’s lives were turned upside down when Test chose to ask out
Stephanie McMahon.
As seen on RAW, the McMahon men were less than pleased when Stephanie accepted
Test’s invitation to go on the date. According to Mr. McMahon, Test clearly crossed the line.
However, the couple went ahead with their date regardless of the obvious disapproval.
One week later on Sunday Night Heat, Jerry "The King" Lawler caught up with Test to try
and get all the seedy details. According to Test, both he and Stephanie talked it out and
decided to remain just friends. This much is believable. Everyday, couples find that they are
better off as friends.
However, a crack in Test’s story may have been revealed when Stephanie came to his aid on
RAW after a brutal attack at the hands of the Big Bossman. The Cobb County native wisely
backed off when Stephanie hit the ring, realizing it would be career suicide if he touches the
owner’s daughter. By making the save on behalf of Test’s well-being, one must think whether
or not the young couple are really just friends. Or are they just covering up a forbidden love
affair for the sake of Test’s welfare?
When Stephanie accepted Test’s invitation, the glow on both of their faces was undeniable.
It appeared as though there was an instant chemistry between the two, which is why it is so
hard to believe that in a matter of one week’s time the young couple had a change of heart.
After looking deeper into the situation, there seems to be an obvious conspiracy going on.
Now that the cat may be out of the bag, due to Stephanie’s desperate attempt to save
Test, will the young superstar continue to put his well-being on the line in the name of love?
Or will he severe all ties with Stephanie, in order to avoid any further punishment, similar to
that inflicted upon him by the Big Bossman? Only time will tell. As many of us already know,
many unreasonable decisions have been made in the name of love. The only decision Test has
left to make is which pain is stronger – the physical pain associated with dating Stephanie, or
the emotional pain associated with a broken heart.
