Chris Jericho ~ Biography

CHRIS JERICHO WAS BORN TO ENTERTAIN!!!

Growing up with a father who was an NHL player meant moving from city to city. Whatever city they were in, Chris could always watch pro wrestling. Age 19, he began to take the sport serious and travelled to Calgary to train with the legendary Stu Hart.

October 1990 he made his pro wrestling debut wrestling Lance Storm. For the following six years he wrestled in places like Mexico and Japan learning the trade.

In 1996 he had a short stint in ECW where he was noticed by talent scouts working for WCW and signed with them. He made his WCW debut August 1996. In 1997 he beat Syxx (later to become X-Pac) for the WCW Cruiserweight Title. After losing his 2nd cruiserweight title to Eddy Guerrero at Fall Brawl '97 he decided nice guys don't win and that arrogant side emerged. He feuded with Dean Malenko and Malenko eventually beat him for the title.

After a contract dispute with WCW, Chris came "to rescue" the WWF. He debuted spectacularly in August 1999 and by December had already become the Inter Continental Champion and had feuds with Road Dogg, Ken Shamrock, The Rock, Chyna and Hardcore Holly.

He lost his Inter Continental Belt in a match with Kurt Angle in No Way Out (March 2000). He then feuded with Triple H over Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley leading to a Last Man Standing match. More Coming Soon!!!
