Falling Stars - Chapter 6
Troy sat in the corner of the room eating the carrot sticks she had grabbed from the catering table. She had spent the last hour watching some of the guys goof around while going over the whole scenario of her latest assignment. Never in her wildest dreams had she thought she would be working in the WWF. Since she as a little girl she had dreamed of being a part of the WWF. In high school she was one of two girls who wrestled on the school team. She would have continued on to college, but the school would not allow her to participate because of the size of the men.
Smiling to herself, she thought of the afternoons she spent training with Reese during college. They would use the gym after wrestling practice every evening until the local independent federation opened up an academy nearby. After that Reese and Troy trained with the local talent and had a lot of fun doing it too.
"Hey Troy, wanna come hang out with us in our dressing room?" Jason Reso asked, breaking her out of her thoughts.
"Sure, I don't really have anything else to do and I have no idea where Reese went," Troy said as she gathered up her snacks.
"I think she went off with Amy to discuss future matches and to meet the boys. She'll be back before the show starts though cause we always watch the show together, that is Adam, Andrew and I always watch the show with Amy and the Hardys," Jason told her as they walked to the blonde Canadians locker room.
"Oh okay. Thanks for inviting me to come hang with you. I was beginning to think I was going to be spending a lot of time alone around here," Troy said smiling at Jason.
"No problem. I was kind of hoping that we could maybe get to know each other a little better. Maybe I could take you out to dinner after the show tonight?" Jason asked returning her smile with one of his own.
"That would be very nice Jason, I'd like that very much," Troy said, her smile widening.
"Hey Troy, glad you could join us," Adam yelled over to her as she approached the open locker room with Jason.
"Thanks Adam. So watch ya watching?" Troy asked motioning towards the television.
"Mallrats, this movie is absolutely hilarious. Jason Lee is so funny," Andrew answered. "This is one of my favorite movies."
"'That's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard,'" Adam said reciting a line from the movie.
"You almost sound exactly like Brody," a voice said from behind Troy and Jason. Turning around Troy came face to face with one half of the Hardy Boys tag team.
"It's about time you joined us Hardy. Where's Jeff and Amy?" Andrew asked.
"I think they are still off with Reese. Last I saw them they were talking to Dwayne and Suzanne about their upcoming wedding," Matt answered as he entered the room and took a seat next to Andrew on the couch. "So what's the plan for tonight?
Danielle is coming in for the show tonight and then spending the next couple of weeks with us and I want to show her a great time tonight."
"Then why don't you just take her to your hotel room?"
"Get your mind out of the gutter Copeland, Danielle isn't like that."
"Trish and I were planning to go out clubbing, she was going to ask Amy to come along which of course means Adam was probably going to come. We can make it a big group thing. What are you doing tonight Jason?"
"A-actually I'm taking Troy out to dinner," Jason answered, his cheeks turning red slightly.
"Oooohhhh," the boys crooned causing Jason to blush even more.
"Stop it guys," Matt said to the Canadians before turning back to Jason and Tory. "Well maybe you guys will join us after dinner then?"
"We have a problem," Jeff said as he rushed into the room.
"What's going on Jeff? Why are you so frantic?" Matt asked his brother as they were joined by an out of breath Reese and Amy.
"There's been another abduction."
