Falling Stars - Epilogue
"So Miss Evans, whats the next step for you?" Jason asked his girlfriend as they sat alone in his hotel room. It had been a really long day for the both of them, but he had to know where they stood. Now that the case was over, where was she going to go, what was she going to do? He didn't want to lose her.
"I've been thinking about this for awhile now. What happened with Avalon tonight kind of made it more real and then I talked to Reese," Troy said softly. "If Vince will have us, we'd like to stay in the WWF. I'd like to stay with you."
Relief washed over him as he pulled her into a loving embrace and kissed her passionately. "I love you," he whispered.
"I love you too Jason."
"Jeff we need to talk," Reese said as the two entered her hotel room. "For the last few days, or rather since I met you, I have been haunted with the decision of what I really want in life. Up until now I had no idea. I loved being a part of the most successful PI firm in the country, but it wasn't enough. I missed my dream and I missed love. Coming on this case, I found both. Now that the case is over, I wasn't sure what to do until Avalon got hurt.
"I realized that I didn't want to be a part from you. I don't want to go back to the life of secrecy and hunting the bad guys. I just want to be with you. I would love to continue to wrestle as well, but if Vince doesn't want to keep us on as talent then I am perfectly content just being with you. The girls both agree. We are through with all that. So what do you say? I am madly in love with you and want only to be with you."
Without a word, Jeff reached out and ran his hand over her cheek and down to her chin. Cupping her chin in his hand he leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips.
"I wouldn't have it any other way. And in case you hadn't noticed. I am madly in love with you too."
Moaning slightly as she moved over, Avalon looked down at Shannon who was sleeping in the chair next to her hospital bed. The poor guy had been worried sick about her and then he had found out she was pregnant. After the initial news set in they hadn't had much time to talk about the recent developments in their relationship. Reese and Troy had come in to visit her and then she had fallen asleep. Now she was awake and he had fallen asleep.
Reaching out she ran her hand through his long hair and brushed it out of his face. He looked so peaceful and worry free. The way Avalon always wanted to see him. Now that the case was over and the other girls had both decided that they wanted to stay in the WWF, what did that leave for her? She loved dancing and she loved the friends she had made in WCW, especially Jaime, Peter and Shane, but she was pregnant. Pregnancy didn't leave a lot of room for dancing in skimpy outfits for perverted men.
And what about Shannon? Now that she was pregnant would he want to stay with her?
Would he want to continue being with her knowing that he was going to be tied down with a child? Closing her eyes, she tried to fight back the tears that were attempting to roll down her cheeks.
"Baby, what's wrong?"
Opening her eyes, she felt a tear escape and begin it's descent only to be interrupted by the soft tough of her boyfriend as he wiped the tear away. "I just…I just don't know what to do. Where do I go now? Now that I am pregnant, where do I go?"
"What are you talking about Av? You have a wonderful job with WCW and most importantly you got me. That's my baby you are carrying and I love you for that. That and a whole lot of other reasons too. More than anything, I want us to be together. You, me and this baby that we created. I don't want you to think for one second that I don't want to be a part of this babys life or yours. Cause if you ever thought that you would be sadly mistaken. In fact, you are going to have a very difficult time getting rid of me," Shannon said as he lifted the hand he was holding to his mouth and kissed it.
Smiling through the tears that fell from her eyes, Avalon put her hands on either side of his face and pulled him towards her, kissing him softly as soon as his lips were in reach. "Well then Mr. Moore, I guess I really have nothing to worry about. And neither do you, cause like it or not, I am yours forever."
