After the match with the Dudley Boyz, Jeff walked backstage with a very upbeat Matt right behind him.

"Damn I feel so much better now!" exclaimed Matt.

"I'm glad someone does." moaned a battered and bruised Devon Dudley as he and Buh-Buh Ray Dudley staggered their way backstage.

"Sorry about that guys." said Jeff to the Dudleyz. Jeff turned to Matt and said, "Did you have to be so rough?"

"I wasn't that rough, was I?" asked Matt.

"Hell yeah, you were!!" yelled Jeff. "You even knocked me around a couple times. I don't know if the audience knew who you were really fighting."

"Sorry about that little bro, but I do feel much better now. Aren't you glad i'm not so crabby anymore?" asked Matt.

"I guess so. For everyone else's safety I don't think you should date anymore co-workers. Nobody else should have to suffer unjustly because you broke up with someone." said Jeff.

"Aww damn......no more dating wrestlers huh? Guess I'll have to cancel my date with Jericho for tomorrow night then." said Matt with a smirk on his face.

Jeff just rolled his eyes and said, "Smartass! Come on slugger, let's go, Heather's probably waiting outside."

Outside the arena...............

"Hey guys," said Heather as she stood by their car, "How did the match go?"

"We won, thanks to loverboy here." said Jeff.

Heather chuckled.

"Shut up!" snarled Matt.

"Come on guys, let's get going. I'm hungry and i've got that news to tell you." said Heather.

"All right, let's get moving." Matt said to Heather. He then turned to Jeff as he was getting in the car and said, "And I was not that rough on the Dudleyz tonight!"

Jeff rolled his eyes again and said, "Whatever!"

They all get in the car and Heather says, "You boys should really be nicer to each other."

Jeff responded with, "Well, you know what they say, 'Hell hath no fury like Matt Hardy when he's not getting......."

"JEFF!!!" yelled Matt.

"Alright, I'm sorry." snickered Jeff as they drove away from the arena.

At the restaurant.............

"So what's this good news?" asked Matt.

"Yeah, i've been dying to hear this." said Jeff.

"Well, you know your contracts expire soon right?" said Heather.

"Yeah?" they both chimed in unison.

"Well, i've had several meetings this week with Shane McMahon and we think we've got an excellent offer almost on the table for you two." said Heather.

"Really?" said Jeff.

"That's awesome!! When will we know something definite?" asked Matt.

"I've have a couple more meetings at the end of the week with him, so hopefully something more by then." said Heather.

Jeff, always the one to pry and never wants to stay on topic turns to Heather and says, "So, you're the one been keeping Shane away from the shows, huh?"

"No doofus, he hasn't been around because his wife cheated on him and he doesn't feel like socializing." said Matt. "God, sometimes you're so insensitive!!"

"Geez, crabby, I was just making an observation. You don't have to bite my head off." shouted Jeff.

"I'm not crabby, you just don't need to pry into things that you don't know about and are none of your business." yelled Matt.

"BOYS!!" exclaimed Heather. "Both of you need to calm down. Yes, Shane was very hurt about what Marissa did, but they're trying to work things out. He's having a hard time with it all, and doesn't want to be around too many people."

"Sorry," said Jeff, "I didn't mean to imply anything."

"I know. Yes I think he's cute, I'd have to be dead to think otherwise, and I enjoy the time i've spent with him, but on a professional level only. I'm there to listen if he needs me, and there's nothing more to it. I'm not a homewrecker." said Heather.

Jeff started to sing, "Heather and Shane, sitting in a tree, K - I - S - S - I - N....."

**SMACK**

"Ouch, what was that for?" yelled Jeff as he rubbed the back of his head after being hit by Matt.

"For being an idiot!!" yelled Matt.

Heather smiled and said, "Come on boys, let's get going. I've got paperwork to do before my meeting tomorrow and you two have to get some rest before your autograph session in the morning."

"All right, I'm sorry for being a smartass tonight Heather." said Jeff as they get up to leave.

"It's OK, I'm getting used to it." said Heather.

"He'll grow up one of these days." said Matt.

Jeff shot them both a dirty look, then smiled, turned to walk out of the restaurant, started skipping and singing loudly, "I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys-R-Us kid."

Matt just shook his head and said to Heather, "You want a little brother? I'll sell him to you real cheap!"

Heather just laughed as they both walked back to the car.
