Scott Norton vs. Shark
Will these two ever stop fighting? They brawl up the entrance way and into the ring where Shark delivers a belly-to-belly suplex. Shark gets one avalanche, but misses a second one. That staggers him for a slam and its over. Norton wins. (1:44) Now stop it, you two. ¼*

Gene Okerlund meets with Jimmy Hart and Kevin Sullivan. Jimmy stirs the pot by encouraging Sting to beat Hogan tonight. Sullivan looks ahead to the 60-man battle royal at World War 3.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Brian Pillman
Disco Inferno interrupts Eddie’s entrance again to dance and shill his new CD. Ric Flair was supposed to wrestle, but nah. Not tonight. Pillman takes his place while Flair waits for him in the leer jet with Arn and Benoit to go do Horsemen things like hang out with Hooter girls and party all night long. WOO! Guerrero lights up Pillman early on with a neat headscissors out of the corner and a dropkick. He hits Pillman with a back suplex, but then flies down into a dropkick. Cover gets two. Pillman takes over by choking and raking Eddie in the ropes. Nice suplex gets two. Eddie fights out of a chinlock and runs into a powerslam for two. Pillman puts the badmouth on him and that fires up that LATIN TEMPER! Eddie pounces on him and unloads, which causes Pillman to roll out to the apron. Pillman reverses a suplex and brings Guerrero to the floor. He takes flight, but misses Eddie for his chest-bump onto the guardrail. As Pillman walks up the aisleway, Guerrero nails him with his weekly AWESOME dive off the top rope. HIGH-FIVES! Back inside the ring, Pillman begs off and then receives a Brainbuster. Pillman gets to his feet to stop the FROG SPLASH by falling into the ropes. Eddie shoves off a superplex and delivers the FROG SPLASH for the 1-2-3. (6:27) Not bad for a TV match as you know the two have absolute potential to put on a better match with more time. **¾

Let’s take you back to last week where Savage was attacked by Shark and Lex Luger. They tried to break his arm!

Road Warrior Hawk vs. Big Bubba Rogers
Hawk beats Bubba into the ring and continues to beat him inside the ring. Some sort of gimmick falls out of Bubba’s pants. The director decides to watch him pick it back up and put it in his pocket! Hawk misses a flying splash and Bubba starts punching. Hawk runs into a Spinebuster and then takes the Bossman straddle. He slides under for the uppercut, but Hawk refuses and punches Bubba back. Double-KO ensues. Bubba avoids the Flying Clothesline and slam dunks Hawk on the mat. Meanwhile, Bubba tapes the gimmick to his fist and goes to nail Hawk. Just then, Jim Duggan runs down and trips Bubba up as he comes off the ropes. Bubba’s face lands on his own fist and Hawk covers for the 1-2-3. (3:48) You’ll see Bubba vs. Duggan at World War 3 in a “taped fist” match! Only one fist? ½*

Why is Hogan always bigger than anyone else on the graphics?

Hulk Hogan (w/Randy Savage) vs. Sting
In a rare occasion, Heenan’s cheering for Sting. Savage in an sling appears from the tunnel before Hogan to distract Sting from seeing Hogan come up behind him from the stands. And yes, Hogan’s wearing that stupid Zorro mask with his black outfit. This is the closest Hogan has worked heel in almost fifteen years. Naturally, the Macon crowd chooses Sting over Hogan. After a big standoff, Hogan shoves Sting back to trigger some serious butt-kicking. Hogan reverses a corner whip and follows Sting in with a clothesline. He pounds Sting in the corner, but then misses a running clothesline and takes a dropkick. A second one puts Hogan out on the floor. Hogan pulls him out and sends Sting into the guardrail. Back in, Sting catches Hogan with a crossbody block for two. A stalemate causes Hogan to chain wrestle with his drop toehold and then the cross armbreaker takedown. Sting escapes and grabs an armbar. Hogan works a headlock. Sting finally backs him into the corner and kicks away at Hulk. STINGER SPLASH? Nope. Hogan catches the splash in mid-air for a bearhug. Why couldn’t he just take the dang splash? A couple knockdowns from Hogan leads to a back suplex for two. Vertical suplex gets two. Enough of that. Sting dropkicks the knees and goes for the SCORPION DEATHLOCK. Hogan powers out and starts to Hulk Up. Three punches and the Big Boot. Sting moves away from the LEGDROP and reapplies the SCORPION DEATHLOCK! Hogan’s near the ropes where Savage is standing. Randy encourages him not to give up as the Dungeon of Doom attacks. So much for the match. The ref calls for the bell. (9:31) Well, Hogan seemed like he wanted to at least attempt to make this a wrestling match. Meng, Hugh Morrus, Zodiac, Shark and Kevin Sullivan beat down everybody until Hogan and Sting start to fight back. In comes the Giant and Jimmy Hart. He goozles them both for a CHOKESLAM, but Savage saves with a chairshot to the back! No effect. Plus, it hurt his injured arm. CHOKESLAM to Savage! While Giant brags about it, Sting and Hogan grab the chair and clothesline the Giant out over the top rope to the floor. Now they’re working together? The Dungeon of Doom hold the Giant back while Sting and Hogan celebrate. And we out! **
