In this essay I will summarize the following: Computers Disrupt Classroom, Computers in the Classroom, and Computer Technology is Not Neccessarily Child's Play.
Do computer disrupt the classroom? In the article it says that computers in the classroom are making the teachers teach less because they are always on the computers and never with the students. They also went on to talk about the amount of money it takes to put a computer and internet connection in every classroom. They said that there are currently 14 computers for every 100 kids in secondary schools, and Ontario schools also have 278,862 classrooom computers to support the curiculam, and the Alberta government also spent $125 million on computers. There should be many more heading to the schools because on new technological programs such as that use computers to enhance such classes as math and language arts.
Some people just cant belive that people actually think that there should be no computers in the classroom. Thats is how the poorer children that cant afford there own personnal computers at home they can go to school and still be able to use some of the most modern technology. Marjan belives that computers enhance the children's knowledge to decrease it. His school became the first Canadian school to be on the world wide web, which let them be able to exchange poetry to other kids in six U.S. cities, and different project which they did with five other countries such as Russia and Japan. The children where also able to download the latesat information on the interent of UFO's and other such things. Marjan also agree's that computers can take away from some classes but need to be used correctly.
However Alison Armstrong strongly opposes to computers in the class room
