*Rundown
of Christian's WWF History*
*September
27, 1998: Christian's debut - In the opening match of the Break Down PPV,
Owen Hart defeats Edge after Christian, making his debut as Edge's brother,
distracts Edge. Christian then aligns with Gangrel.
*Fall
1998: Christian and Gangrel feud with Edge; Edge later turns heel
and joins the two to form the Brood. The three are featured in mid-card
matches.
*October
18, 1998: Christian defeats Taka Michinoku for the Light Heavyweight Title.
*January
1999: The Brood joins the Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness. After not
fitting in, they leave the Ministry and seem to lose direction in WWF storylines.
*Spring
1999: Michael Hayes starts a feud with the Brood, eventually introducing
the Hardy Boyz to WWF fans.
*June
27, 1999: At King of the Ring, Edge & Christian face the Hardy Boyz
for the first time on a WWF pay-per-view. The Hardyz win the #1 contenders
match after Gangrel spits blood in Edge's face.
*Summer
1999: Gangrel turns on Edge, forcing Christian to choose sides. Christian
sides with Edge and the two form a tag team and begin to turn into fan-favorite
faces.
*Fall
1999: Edge & Christian face the Hardy Boyz in five matches called "The
Terri Invitational Tournament," in which the victors win $100,000 and the
managerial services of Terri Runnels. The series culminates at No Mercy
on October 17, 1999, when the Hardyz defeat Edge & Christian in a ladder
match. The next night on RAW, the two teams turn into full-fledged babyfaces
when all four members turn on Gangrel.
*April
2, 2000: Edge & Christian capture their first WWF Tag Team Title by
defeating the Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz in a triple threat ladder
match. After the win, Edge & Christian begin to display cocky charisma
by insulting the crowds wherever they appear. They also hold onto the title
by intentionally causing disqualifications in their title defense matchs.
*June
25, 2000: After dropping the WWF Tag Team Title to Too Cool on May 29,
2000, Edge & Christian regain the title at King of the Ring.
*Summer
2000: Edge & Christian perfect their heel personas with witty backstage
scenes with WWF Commissioner Mick Foley. Before matches, they pose for
the crowd "with the benefit of flash photography." They crack everyone
up by inventing words like "heinocity" and "ramipercussions" and call certain
people "reekazoids."
*September
24, 2000: Edge & Christian lose the Tag Team Title to the Hardy Boyz
in a cage match at Unforgiven.
*October
22, 2000: After Foley forbids Edge & Christian from getting another
title shot against the Hardyz, they dress in full-body, gold luchador outfit
and masquerade as 80s jobber WWF tag team the Conquistadors. They defeat
the Hardyz for the tag belts at No Mercy for their third Tag Team Title
reign. However, the next night on RAW, the Hardyz get the last laugh when
THEY dress up as the Conquistadors and defeat Edge (Christian was unable
to perform because of injury after the Dudley Boyz put him through a table
backstage) for the tag team championship.
*December
10, 2000: Edge & Christian defeat Right to Censor, K-Kwik & Road
Dogg and the Dudley Boyz at Armageddon to capture the Tag Team Title for
the fourth time.
*December
18, 2000: Thanks to Kurt Angle's big mouth, Edge & Christian are penalized
by Mick Foley (after Edge exhibits some Scorpio temper) by having to defend
the tag title against the Rock and the Undertaker on RAW. Although Edge
prevents Undertaker from pinning Christian by hitting him with the ring
bell, he soon after falls victim to a People's Elbow, and the Rock scores
the three and takes the title away from the two who reek of awesomeness.
