Booker T ~ Jeff Jarrett
How did Booker T get so popular so quickly? I am confused by the "big" push he is getting that Jeff Jarrett never got. I agree, Jeff got a pretty good push, but nothing close to Booker's. Every night Booker gets a segment all his own to bond with his wife and brother? I don't think WCW's rating are that stable yet. When Jeff was champ, I don't remember him getting a five minute segment all his own to waste time. I do remember, however, when he did get a few minutes of his own, he was in the ring handling his business.
Booker only has to defend when he wants to, on the other hand, Jeff had to defend when he was told to, usually forced into the matches, but he went out there and did it anyway. People have been calling Jarrett the "greatest paper champion of all time", you want to talk about a paper champion? Who defended their title on every show? Who went out there are defended when he was forced into it? Who was screwed numerous times? Certainly not Booker T.
Everyone think Booker's title reign is so deserved, and Jarrett's wasn't? Of course over 13 years of experience doesn't mean anything anymore. It's fair to say that Booker and Jarrett have worked equally hard for the WCW title BUT not completely true, because I can't think of one person that deserves to be called "World Champion" more than Jeff Jarrett. The entire point of this column is; IT'S NOT BOOKER'S TIME YET! It's still the Chosen One's time, so why don't you choke on that...well you know how it goes, Slapnuts!
