Have you seen "La Femme Nikita"? Do you remember this woman from that film? I haven't seen it in awhile, but I'm positive this woman has never won any best actress awards. Maybe I'm leaping to conclusions here, but I'm prepared to stand by them.

You'll notice a sticker with "LSM" on the fake cover above (from a source I was unable to track down). The sticker stands for Love Story Movie. I have described it elsewhere, but there are several different categories of movies in the video stores in Kisumu. They are usually:

• Love Story Movies- which can run the gamut from romances to truly smutty fare
• Action Movies - Sort of a catchall for movies from Jean Claude Van Damme to Sylvester Stallone to Wesley Snipes to Jeff Speakman to Steven Seagal. You know, the True Great Actors of Our Time. Like it or not, these are the actors people around the world know by name.
• Comedy Movies - Includes dramas. I'll track down a really good one someday. Such as "Schindler's List" as a comedy or something.
• Martial Arts Movies - You'd think this would be covered by Action Movies, but they occasionally get their own category.
• Cartoon Movies - all the kids movies, animated or not, go here.

Just because a film belongs in a category by it's subject matter is no guarantee that it will end up there. The best example that I have scanned in is "Felicia's Journey" being categorized as a Martial Arts Movie.
